Nerd Herd and fans, it's time to rescue 'Chuck'

Abject begging isn't pretty, but "Chuck" deserves it. The show is in danger of cancellation, but this delightful spy dramedy should absolutely get a third season. Full Story

Maybe now that Chuck is getting axed the losers who watch it will find something worthwhile to do with their time... Who am I kidding? They'll just watch a "reality" show instead.

what this author should say is to convince your "Nielsen family" friends to watch Chuck.

Chuck is truly an incredible show! I've never enjoyed a show, or its characters as much as I do for Chuck. Please renew this show NBC!

Thanks Maureen for all the logical reasons you have shared on your blog for why NBC should renew Chuck. My only question is are all the “Save Chuck” campaigns on the Internet really making a difference? I mean why isn’t this big push making headlines on Google News, CNN and the AP web sites? Also why isn’t this registering on television shows like Access Hollywood, ET, and even the Today Show?

It seems that if everyone wants to get the ear of the NBC executives they need to catch the attention of Oprah and Tyra Banks who can certainly help to shape public opinion. Also what if California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger were to say that “Chuck” is among his favorite shows? If it worked with New York Senator Chuck Schumer firing a wake up call toward Time Warner recently over their desire to introduce tiered Internet rates for their customers couldn’t Arnold make a similar case for “Chuck”?

While letter writing campaigns and sending Nerds candy to NBC might have an effect it seems more likely that a concerted media campaign leading up to the final episode could make an even greater impact.

What are you watching on TV if you think people watching Chuck "will find something worthwhile to do with their time" if it gets cancelled?

And more importantly: If you dislike the show so much (or all TV, as it seems), why are you wasting your oh-so-precious time reading this article?

Just saw the finale. It is worth at least three 5-dollar footlong runs to Subway this week. Wonder if it would be worth it to scan the receipts in and send them to NBC and Subway as PDF attachments?

I watch Chuck every week. Or rather I should say I record it. The biggest problem these broadcasters have is they all wish to compete for the same time slot rather than airing the show when they have less competition. In that time slot I am recording Chuck and also Big Bang while I am watching House. The next hour I am recording One Tree Hill, Two and a Half Men and Rules of Engagement while I am watching Heros...... Give me a break.
Then it comes to another night and I am forced to watch Flashpoint because nothing else I like is on.
Then again it's always that way. All the good shows get canceled and the crap stays.

I'm a jaded, 40-something viewer. I go WAY out of my way to watch Chuck and I'm mightily honked off if it gets pre-empted. I don't DO that for anyone else but Joss Whedon and even then, I'm not quite as motivated as I am for Chuck.

I support advertisers who sponsor Chuck and I'm a buyer of the show on DVD. In today's age, a loyal fan base is of greater monetary value than ever before. Quality can matter more than quantity if we're buyers of the DVD and supporters of advertisers.

In fact, I not only had lunch at Subway yesterday, but I also fed an entire crew of workers Subway to show my support.

It's special and delightful TV.
