Let's see. The Screen Actors Guild has been holding the industry hostage since June, putting tens of thousands of below-the-line crew members in jeopardy of losing their houses, etc., and all you can say is "wow, the Golden Globes! Yay actors! Let's party!" F***k the actors. Maybe if they spent less time playing dress up and more time negotiating their contract we could get back to work.

And as for the Tribune, your coverage of the SAG contract negotiations has been pathetic. This is a major industry in the state of Illinois and city of Chicago--ever heard of Dark Knight? Thousands of people here are being affected by this situation. You own the LA Times for crying out loud. Do your research and let people know what's REALLY going on with their beloved actors. You say, "oh, they might strike!" Well, they've been conducting a de facto strike for the last 8 months. The studios haven't put anything into production since then for fear that SAG MIGHT strike. Of course, SAG's idiotic leadership thinks they'll be able to get 75% of their membership to authorize a strike in time to affect the Oscars--good luck in this economy, you jag offs!

I say BOYCOTT THE GOLDEN GLOBES and any other awards show this year. The behavior of SAG's leadership in the last year borders on criminal.

Maybe if Hollywood would get out of politics, and concentrate on make better or good movies, they would have something to celebrate.

Just one thing to say: "And now, let's see who takes home... the Golden... Glob [no typo - last word slurrrrrrrred]".

Priceless.

Sigh - I think it's the Film Actors Guild, no??

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Libra

An emotional situation is as clear as mud today. You aren't sure about your feelings for a certain someone, nor are you convinced that you know what they're playing at. They may be saying one thing and doing another, and you might even suspect that they're playing games with you or trying to get what they can out of the relationship. Or maybe you're imagining the whole thing? Admit it - at this stage you simply don't know.
