Patinkin was a no show at the PBS panel because he was ill. No bearing on what is happening with CBS and as for the official statement made by CBS, Bernero's statement made as a member of the production crew, bore no resemblance to the official statement which said that CBS had in fact heard from Patinkin the week before.

Wonder if Bernero is the famously mysterious producer that had differences with Patinkin. In any case, his statement made NOT to the press but to a blogger was not an official press release. CBS and Patinkin have chosen to have some class in their statements and to part company as friends...as Moonves did when Patinkin left Chicago Hope to spend more time with his then much younger kids.

One can only hope that CM continues, but it will be less interesting without Patinkin.
