I was a regular dancer on AB in 1985 as well and was there when Madonna was on for the first time. I wonder if I know your friend. Did you ever find out where we can get tapes of the show?

I was a regular in 1978-1979... You need to get in touch with DC Productions and ask them. They have ALL the shows in the archive.
Man, those were the days. KFC for lunch on the side of the studio between tapings.
Does anyone remember Hal Hatman....
p.s. I found some old "clips" on the net but you have to search (usually by the performer and year)

I danced on American Bandstand for 6 episodes in 1984 and 3 episodes in 1985. I saw everyones comments on getting the DVDS. I would love to get the DVDS or tapes when I was on the shows as well. I origionally taped them when they aired but my ex-husband ruined them. My daughters would love to have them as well. Somebody please help us out. I tried contacting Dick Clark productions. I had no luck.

I danced on the show when the village people, blondie, the pepper guy, charro, michael jackson, I did a spolight dance on the riser and sat next to dick a few times. Also, the line dances together were fun. We are family...... we did have a blast! Going out after the show to clubs dancing. i would love to find those copies. Please let me know if you were able to watch any.

Tonya, I'm from Detroit and remember when Leslie and Lester Tipton won the contest. As I recall, it was 1968 and they had been regular dancers on Swingin' Time in the Detroit /Windsor area. I remember that their prizes were 2 Pontiac Tempest Cars.

Which DC Productions, there are many listed on the web? I was a regular during the 1978 Season as well and can't remmeber who the groups were on the show during that time.
