Clint Eastwood's movie reminds me of what happened to Brentwood. It was once white but is now MS-13's base of operations.

A lot of people feel exactly the same way. Many can say the same about towns like Farmingville, Patchogue, Medford, and so on. And the moment most people say something about how their community has taken a turn for the worse, they're immediately branded as being racist, xenophobic, or just plain old intolerant.
That said, most of the people who decry the "slummification" of their towns aren't against immigrants at all. They simply want to rid their communities of the illegal immigrants and the "gangsta" trash that somehow magnetically comes here with them.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that all illegal immigrants are gang-members, or thuggish criminals, some--in fact, probably most--are decent, hard-working people who are just trying to make a living and make things better for their families. However, it sets many people's teeth on edge that they came here illegally to do it.
In any case, though I admittedly identify myself as being "left-of-center," I absolutely abhor political correctness. I think that it has nothing whatsoever to do with truth, and everything to do with assuaging someone's "presumed" hurt-feelings. It's high-time for political correctness to become extinct.

ditto. and to add: making comedians apologize for something not PC is ridiculous - all comedy makes fun of something - if you can't laugh at yourself...

"In any case, though I admittedly identify myself as being "left-of-center," I absolutely abhor political correctness." agreed

Daily Horoscope for December 27

Libra

You're full of empathy and affection today, so it would be a shame not to spread it around. It's a marvellous day for a low-key get-together with some of the people you haven't seen during the past few days, because you'll enjoy having a good chat about what's been happening. Once your social duties are out of the way you'll love curling up on the sofa with a good book or a favourite film.
