Gopher Fan: It's like saying 'negro president'. You have to reach back into history a bit to get a gist of how things were.--- Signs posted in the early half of the century stating "No Coloreds allowed" or Whites and Coloreds above drinking fountains. Very demeaning and the word was a way of knocking them down. And it IS offensive.

So when will the NAACP be changing its name?

Being refered to as colored is going to be the least of Obamas problems over the next 4 years..dont sweat the small stuff.

Besides, did anybody expect Lohan to say something intelligent? Still not sure why this is news.

Only the PC's see this as offensive. Now that we got a negro as prez they'll have nothing to live for so expect mass suicides

I guess I don't get why this is news either. I just saw an ad on TV for a forum called "Women of Color". I saw nothing offensive in it, and its hosted by African Americans, however all races and ethnics participate. We are all people of color if we think about it. There are various shades of whites, Italians vs Irish vs Swedish, etc... There are various shades of Blacks. What I find offensive is someone in the media thought to this was news. If there's a problem, Obama can take care of himself.

Isn't he colored? Aren't we all colored in one way or another? Geez get over it. Yes he is colored his color is black. Yes I am colored my color is olive. Yes my albino cousin is colored his color is white. Why is this such an issue? If this is all the PC people in this world have to complain about they have alot to learn about the real problems in this city, state, country and world!

"Black" is the correct term...or biracial. saying "colored" is like calling an Asian "Oriental." Though, I don't think Lohan meant it in a demeaning way--she's just not very smart.

We can't exactly accuse the NAACP of misusing the name colored now, can't we? Definitely a slow news day indeed.

Obama may be the first colored president, but Lindsay is still a fire crotch.

Really, who cares what the ef Lindsay Lohan has to say. I guess when celebrities dominate the headlines (see Obama), the idiots want to know what they say. Sadly, some people who vote get their news from People, Us, Daily Show, etc...

Sometimes it's not clear what black people want to be called: black or African-American??? Both are OK?! Some don't like to be called African-American because they say that not all black people came from Africa. I refer to black people as "black" and white people as "white". If anyone doesn't like it-TOUGH!!

Enough is enough!!
