So, you're a McCain groupie. You'd rather have gone in there, empowered al Qaeda and then pulled out.
Brilliant. Stick to your flak suit knitting. You'll need it.
PS: You really don't think more than a day ahead of last month's news, do you? LOL
Not at all! The one operation I would agree with is, when this all started the US should had destroyed, secured, or captured as much of Assad's WMD's ,manufacture sites ,storage and delivery systems as possible. Then LEAVE!! So when AQ takes over they will NOT have an unmolested WMD program to do whatever. Just like they have in Libya.
Now since we have Assad's Army, Hezbollah, AQ all in one location we should get some payback for Syria being one of two largest producers of foreign fighters in Iraq. Hellfires, JDAMS, tomahawks guided by whomever(small SOF teams or locals no difference) should be the word of the day! Our enemy is fighting themselves, we should take advantage of this!

Personally, I believe this was more than likely an act of Al-Nusra while waving the flag of Assad's forces.
The exact same thing happened a couple of months ago. Then we had loud mouth McLame saying we needed to invade. When it was Al-Nusra using Sarin gas and everyone was blaming it on Assad.
Same tactic here.
I can see what the West is trying to do here and it is not going to work.
In the middle east, the end game has always been Iran and the largest oil choke point in the world. But the West cannot just invade Iran without a pretext. WMD's pretext has failed since it came out Iraq did not have any. Also, the CIA and Mossad have come out publicly and stated that Iran is no where near having the ability to make a nuke.
So how you get into the end game with Iran?
Through Syria who holds a mutual defense agreement with Iran.
Use Al-Nusra aka Al CIA-Duh to launch chemical attacks, blame it on Assad, and then use that as a justification to enter Syria. With a defensive agreement with Iran, Iran will then be forced to enter Syria. And there will be the excuse for the West to enter Iran and try to attempt to control the oil choke point.
Question is though, what will Russia and China do?
If those Dr Strangelove types want to go down that road it will blow the whole region up and they won't be able to put the fire out,and if they think they will get away untouched forget it,Israel would be hit with a shit storm of missiles and every US base in the area would be attacked, having said that I believe the Reich has gone insane with power,so I wouldn't rule anything out, what would Russia do,thats the question, the Reich has got away with its global violent agenda since they attacked the FRY,they assume Russia and others won't call their bluff,if they continue with their blood soaked rampage one day it will be called.

If you can remove foreign rebels from Syrian land, I guess you will be 100% successful with your goal of not having chemical weapons deployed here and there.

if they find nothing then the rebels lie.
if they find evidence or if the syrian army stop them from reaching the sceen, you can safly say there was a chemical attack
Assad is denying access today, so we may never really know. His act is all but admitting guilt.

PROVE IT!

I'm sick and tired of hearing these automatic kneejerk accusations as soon as some well planned massacre takes place.

Who benefits?

Your 'proof' wouldn't even get a grand jury indictment in the US. It'd be laughed out of court. In case you haven't kept up with the laws of this land, uncorroborated testimony by co-conspirators is worthless on its face.

You seem to know everything about what Assad is willing to do to win this war.

What are the extremist factions of the opposition willing to do?

I'll answer - EVERYTHING and ANYTHING!

If it turns out that this was a false flag operation, the blood of those victims is directly on your, on mine and on everyone in the West's hands, for enabling these al Qaeda cockroachs and providing every incentive in the book for them to carry on.

You make me sick with your naiveté.

would seem kinda foolish for assad to launch a nerve gas attack just as the UN inspectors arrive in the country, maybe a little too convenient ?

I'll posit a far more plausible scenario than Assad launching a massive chemical attack 15 minutes from recently arrived UN inspectors equipped with every analytical devise in existence....

Distracting cover for the previous chemical attacks, when the conclusions are in and not to the FSA's benefit.

If I'm wrong, so be it - but JEESUS, man - get a brain that's capable of processing likely scenarios, for once in your confused life.

The UN inspectors are already in Syria to investigate chemical weapons used by the rebels.
I have said many times before, when something bad happens look for who benefits. Then you get closer to the truth.
Someone made a great point earlier in this thread. There was no chemical attacks in Syria until the west decided to sponsor foreign jihadists to take over large Syrian homes and businesses' to use as bases to attack Syrian government forces.
The west can simply call off their dogs and no more chemical attacks from either side.
