Hope the whole mess goes under.Sr may be rich but he is a jerk. When I found out he never really gave Cody the bike they built together then I knew just what a jerk he is. Suing Jr. now for his portion of the company after scam he pulled in the sale of the Iron Works proves what a low life he truly is.

I have watched the show pretty much from the first episode. But as of two years ago I stopped watching. Actually when Vin and Cody left that's when I stopped watching. It was fun while it lasted though as for it being scripted. Probably they had an outline for that particular episode but I think Sr and Jr's fights were the real deal either that or they are great fucking actors. I can't believe the grossed a billion dollars though! Shit, I knew they were raking it in. I'll just have to watch Survivor now...NOT.

Hah hah, the show has been canceled!
Sr. was rather headstrong, more muscle than brains. Jr. was the talent, Mikey provided the levity needed for the other two personality-challenged introverts to operate as needed. He was the lightning rod, lame as all shit, but he provided some memorable times... i was surprised as shit when they showed that he had a girlfriend, i thought that the plump little fucker was gay! Which would've explained his strange behavior all along... but that's just me.I am - Miranda Veracruz De La Hoya Cardinal

The show is a joke. These guys built junk bikes that are for show only. There is no way OCC will last with out the show. These guys just got very lucky and got rich from it. Mikey is the one who got the luckiest he did basically nothing except act like a moron on the show and get paid well for it. If any one has actually watched from the beginning Paul Jr was there in the building the first bike that put OCC on the map (spider bike. For Paul Jr to only own 20% of the company does not make any sense. Good luck to all these jokers cause they are going to need it.....

I do agree completely. Junior is just that a junior.

Now he is getting Married. The poor girl. I guess she is the salt of the earth. If she stays with him it shows just who the real star is. She will be. Junior has dumped on her as well as the rest of them. He broke her heart when he took the boutique away from her and for what? So he can rebuild a Bar B Que and to design a Dog Park. Great claims to fame.

His girl friend is the only one I really respect.

That entire family is a freaking joke. Mikey, the greasy haired chunk-drunk probably provided the most entertainment but the rest of that screaching match was too much. Anyway, when the cancer really starts eating away the old man, I hope his dog Gus gives him all the love he needs. His goofy wife will be taking up with Mikey and Jr. will be laughing his ass off when they pull the plug on the old asshole.

OCC was Sr and Jr in Sr's garage for 4 years before they made it on tv. Only then did the business take off. It had nothing to do with Sr's talent, it was cult of personality.

Jr was the talent behind the bikes, once he left the quality of the bikes dropped off. Even my wife noticed that.

Sr encouraged Mikey to act like a buffoon so he could be entertained by it, then criticizes him in front of the entire world for acting like a buffoon and having no work ethic. Wow your son is an alcoholic like you. Parent of the year award there. Good job Dad!!!!

It is pretty obvious that someone was whispering in Sr's ear. Mikey's comments about how "they" cast me aside demonstrates it. The corporate shills were getting rid of the sons so they can take over in the future.

Without the show OCC is done. What corporation wants a chopper without the one hour advertisement.$3 million for 30 seconds during the super bowl or what $250 thousand for an hour and a bike for the lobby?

Go back and look at some of the reruns from last year. When Mikey and that southern guy with the bad back went shooting, when the show cut back and forth between scenes, Mikey's beard was different lengths while it was supposed to be happening "real time". TLC was scripting the show and using creative editing. Very dishonest on their part.

To T from Viginia:

I will only correct those statements that you have wrong which, as so many who really know nothing of the truth behind OCC, is almost everything your wrote.

Sr's talent was to be able to take a "past-time" and passion of building bikes and turn it into a multi-million dollar business. He had to risk much to gain much. Few are every willing to do so.

Jr was only one talent behind the bikes and their designs. The creativity was often by "team work Jr often took credit that wasn't his. It alienated many co-workers.

Sr never encouraged Mikey to be a buffoon. Mikey is naturally a very fun and funny guy.

Sr had no one "whispering" in his ear. He has others in his company - OCC - that give him input. He makes his own decisions.

OCC is not done. They have many plans in place and will survive. Or not. Many companies face much more difficult times and survive. I have no crystal ball - On this you may be correct.

The show is, well....it's a show! Thus scenes are edited, spliced, re-done, some staged. This comes as a surprise?

BTW, I have been traveling with Sr for the past couple of months, have had a long project build with his talented staff, I have known some of his employees for over 30 years, and Mike has lived at one of my families house in years past. My "opinion" might actually have more merit - but they are opinions and you can accept or reject them with equal gusto. I like it that you - and others in here - show a passion, either pro or con. That you care and comment means you take actions on your belief. Whether I agree or not with you, what is important is YOUR opinions, and others, speaking up is what makes America great.

I agree that the TLC TV show has made them what they are,On one hand. But on the other hand Senior ( Yes Senior ) Had the idea of taking that money that they were making and make it work for them. He built the franchise either by his own ideas or surrounding himself with smart people that came up with the ideas and concepts to build OCC into what it is now, the dealership, the customs, the big building, the books the traveling shows and Including the restaurant. I can not see Junior being that motivated. I see him as spending everything that is made and it would not have made it out of the basement.

By the way in one of the books by them it said he stated the business in his basement with some of his retirement money. He took the gamble with his savings and his location. Junior was include cuz they were family. Senior did notn have to do that now did he??

Is Junior grateful. Heck NO! He just wants more..

What Quality are you talking about?
Do you mean that they used inferior parts?, Cheap Metal? bought Chinese motors or Trans or inferior tires ??

What quality has suffered??

If you are talking about the trinkets that were put on them. Well for One I am not a fan of trinkets. Oh Boy a Spider Web... ewwww Corn Cobs... A Fricken Bird House on a Chopper... Now that is quality, if you live in a Trailer....
If you want to, put a Raccoooooon tail or fuzzy dice on your bike, and you can have the same quality.....

Quality or Creativity? is this what we are talking about. Again. Creative does not equal Corn Cobs or Bird Houses and assorted trinkets.

Simple questions for those who think that Sr built the business.

"How many people heard of OCC before it was on The Discovery Channel? How many people heard of OCC after it was on The Discovery Channel?"

"How much money did OCC make off of Merchandising vs How Much money did OCC make off of Bike Building vs How much money did OCC make off of TV contract rights?"

Same questions to you only replace Senior with Junior.

I never heard of them before. There is a very good reason. I will bet you have no idea why....

I am reading the book. Not the one written by senior about doing it his way. But the first book written in 2003 before all of the trouble started. It is a collaberation of all of them plus a cast of others.

The Business was started in 1999 in the basement of Senior. He usesd some of his retirement money to start it. He asked Junior to come in with him.

A few years later they went to Daytona to display what they built and this is where they caught the eye of TV producers. They filmed two specials. Aired them, and they were a hit.

This was belore anyone knew them either of them Junior or Senior. The production company along with Discovery Channel then thought they had a hit on thier hands.

This is as far as I have gotten in the book as I just started it.

But the bottom line is not matter who you want as president of the company.

Senior is the drive behind the company, Junior is lazy. If it was left in Juniors hands he would have it run into the ground.

Senior is very hard working.( I am not saying in the shop ) But all of the behind the scenes things like building a business that has overseas Stores / outlets and now the Restaurant.

Who knows what else. The boys hate thier father, who can say why?? OK YOU can blame it on abuse of chemicals of some sort ie: Alcohol or drugs. Senior is clean and sober for 25 years, Junior has been clean for ??? Now Mikey is walking that tight rope.

But the bottom line is Senior has a certain personality that is the way it is. But he also if not provoked relaxes quickly and all he expects is a days work for a days pay. Who did not work in that line of thought? Yes his boys. I am sure it can be said it is his fault for not letting them know they were not going to just have everythingg handed to them. But then they should not have expected it either.

I say to you - IF Junior is so wonderful and so creative. What has he done since he left? He is lazy he only wants people to come to him and pay him large amounts of money for thinking.
Come on now A Dog Park?? and Dog toys?? A BarBQue redesign, and then at that Coleman had to come back and tell him he over did it, they could not sell the thing after they made the changes.... They also told him that his Logo can not be larger or displayed in a better location than thier logo. What an ego...

Junior is all about Junior, He is not about anyone else. If not he would not have fired the first shat with the lawyers to squeeze OCC of every penny that he claims he was owed. What was the out come? He was wrong.

Saddletramp

I cannot speak with any authority on Jr's creativity - only that others within OCC did not like that he took credit for ideas and designs that were not always his. I got this from several current folks at OCC - but they are "loyalists", so who knows - it is hearsay.

On Sr, the guy IS a work-aholic and would make any business he had his heart into a "success" through shear force of will and hard work. The break of a TV show was for him to think about, and then make a decision. No one ever came to him and said "Do this and you will make millions." He weighed the risks (the risks being interuption of his business and the personal risk of putting yourself on view for all to see) and rolled the dice. My guess is Jr and Sr discussed the issue and came to a conclusion, together. But is was "Sr's" business, not Jr's, so the risk and rewards belong to Sr for him to share/not share as his heart dictates.

If Sr. values hard work as the benchmark of character, and you show you have it - he rewards handsomely. If not, he can be a harsh task-master, or so it would seem.

I think it is a mistake to say Jr had all the creativity or lacks it. At least it is wrong for me to say it because I don't know him. My observation in life is creative people need a balance - a Yin/Yang - to be productive with such a gift. In this case the balance was likely a Dad who was a "slave driver" to daily work routine. Even Michelangelo needed to be "forced" to created the Sistine Chapel Mural. Just my opinion.

I like to remain open on my opinions, if I can. I suspect on my next trip to Newburgh I will go see Vinnie and wish him well. But I think I will try to see Jr - he doesn't know me but I have never had trouble getting to see anyone - most times you just ask.

Yes Sir, I believe I have agreed with all of your points in one way or another.

I admire the man for having done what he has done at the time in his life ( Age being what I mean ). Most guys his age are looking toward retirement and slowing down. But he is charging forward as strong as a young man. I do admire that ability to take what he was given and make it into the empire he has.

I Know that is a dangerous thing to say on this post. But non the less I do think he has great business sense.

Unfortunaely with every positive there must be a negative as a balance. With that his family has suffered. I mean his sons, It seems like his new marriage is doing OK. She seems to support him and seems to be a good thing for him ( For what I have seen )

Yes I agree with your post regarding senior.

As for Junior. He really needs to or He really has to grow up. He is getting married, Good for him. I wish Her well. I think he will sabatoge the marriage. I think she will be the positive force in the whole thing.

You know Senior right? Is he ill? or is he just not working out as much as before due to his busy schedule? I am sure his eye condition may slow him down a little as it is hard to see and that is a major life change for anyone.
