I'll reiterate: The guy who was killed was legally deaf. This happened before 7:30AM.

So. They had a warrant for meth and pot? pffft. Where are the drugs?

TCSO are not like TPD. The ones I've known are high school/GED educated, unlike TPD who have college degrees. The few TCS I've worked around were more like Barny Fife. Not the sharpest tools in the shed. Big badge; big gun; little paycheck; and little brain.

Both TPD and TCSO catagorize the Rogues MC as a gang. They went in with their fingers on the trigger and their brains in a bucket of poo.

Why are LE focused on old men who in a MC? Have you ever heard of the Rogues MC doing a drive-by shooting? Have you ever heard of an entire region of the city that is terrorized by the Rogues MC? No. The real gangbangers are out doing their drive-by shootings, dealing drugs, and killing innocent people who happen to be in the way or by stray bullets. Yet, neither TPD or TCSO can get a handle on the real gangbangers.

Before 7:30AM
An aging, deaf biker slept
as SWAT kicks open the door,
and shoots him to death.

No drugs.
Nada, nil, zilch
Equals a bad kill.

I agree with some of your statements. Tulsa is allowing much worse crimes to be committed. So why mess with these guys.

Legalize drugs & other things. Less cops we'd have to pay anyway.

I do not do drugs of anykind, but it's a choice so who cares, just like porn keep it away from kids, thats all I would care about

Dude ... who cares in the MC1%er world if homies want to shoot each other ... what homie gang tags an MC 1%er club house or the property near ... what MC1%er hangs out in a park and cares if some banger shoots or stabs another banger ... bottom line none of these groups infringe upon an MC1%er area ... two blocks over or 1/2 mile accross the tracks don't count ...
That's the point MC1%er don't care. In the post I was referring to you stated that "The MC 1%ers actually deter crime in the areas they frequent inasmuch that while they do not go out looking for trouble, when trouble shows up they take care of it. You do not hear of biker wars unless it is on TV nor do you hear of drive-by shootings in areas where the 1%ers are located, nor rapes, murders, stabbings, etc. If you found yourself alone and on foot on the Northside in the wee early hours and needed assistance, who do you want at your side, a homie, hoodie, banger or a 1%er." I was simply pointing out that these things do happen and they happen right in the neighborhood that your MC 1%er claim as your area. It seems that you're saying that we should feel safer because you're here but in reality you're presence just adds to the problems that plague our community.
All said and done I'm sorry that your friend lost his life. Living in Dawson has taught me not to be real trusting of the police either so I doubt if we will ever know the whole story.

I have heard that alot of the TCSO SWAT team is made up of part time or reserve deputies. If this is true; it is very concerning that the sherrif would deploy "volunteer" deputies in a unit that executes high risk warrants and/or entries. I think if you want professional results you need to hire professionals.

Does anybody know?

Pretty sad...the guy the Sheriffs murdered was deaf..had no idea who was waking him up at 7am. So where were all the drugs? Oh...I guess they didn't find any... Oh..what about the "pipe bomb"? Funny how they got riduculed by the bomb squad for calling them to inspect a cheater bar for working on bikes. Oh, by the way...this is the same guy, who with the same club, raised money for a small black child in Dawson who was badly burned and they bought him christmas that year? I'm really disgusted!
Aren't you proud of your murdering cowardly sheriff department? I...DON'T....THINK....SO!

That isn't how you serve a warrant.
Couldn't have said it better. Seems to me the victim obviosly had an addiction; otherwise there would be no warrent, and it bothers me that some of you heartles people seem to be so happy of the outcome that occured today. A MAN, A SON, perhaps even A FATHER or A BROTHER was killed today and regardless he will be missed and there's a family out there who is hurting. So to all of you, you have my deepest condolences and may God be with you through this difficult time. Now to all you ignorant, uneducated, trigger happy, judgemental hypocrites if indeed the man was an addict who are you to judge him or think that justice was served properly? Unless you know from experience the power of addiction, least you not judge. Only God can judge. I pray the Lord forgives your ignorance and again may God be with the family.

What they fail to tell you is that Russell, the guy who they shot was legally deaf. His hearing is so impaired he couldn't hear below 80db. It doesn't make him grabbing a gun any less significant, but it does shine a different light on the situation and the officers might have reacted differently.
You ever been involved in ANY police action that is considered "high risk"? Trust me, the officers involved are talking WAY above the 80 decibel level. Lots of light, and badges out, with POLICE marked CLEARLY on the vests. What? He was BLIND, too? You point a gun at me, and tell me to lay still.....I'm gonna do it, no questions asked. At least until I figure out what is going on.

It has been interesting watching the facts in this story grow a little bit more in each person post! abcd just so you know tcso deputys are required college degree just like tpd! that not fiction thats fact. the people wanna think they know it all on here, is really entertaining! i dont know the facts on what happened here, but i dont know this tcso doesnt make it a habit to go out and murder someone, nor do i believe tpd does. bad cops out there? yes i believe and know there are! but i believe there are far more good ones than bad ones! while i feel for this mans friends grief, i believe there was alot happened in a quick amount of time. a man hard of hearing mabey? but i would know the differance of a intruder or a law enforcement officer. someone stated the war was on in their post. what does that accomplish.
this man was not a innocent man in life, nor did he have the right to own a gun because of his past troubles. there are a lot of good bikers and there are bad ones too. just like law enforcement. i just think that this world doesnt value human life anymore and one day we all will pay for it! i will apoligize for my spelling now so no one have to correct it! may the lord be with the fallen man, and the deputies put in that position.

You know, when I was just 19 years old, I was coming home from work one day at my apartments and for no reason, Deputy Lance Ramsey of the Tulsa Sheriffs Office started asking me if I tried to cut his wife off in her car..of course, I had no clue what he was talking about, so he threw me on the ground on my face and nearly broke my arm sitting on it as I cried and was humiliated in front of my neighbors. Now I"m a small guy and barely out of high school...Lance Ramsey was a 6 foot plus bully!! I did file a report with internal affairs, and after talking to some sheriff dept. employees later, I heard that he never changed, and he is a scary individual..this from his peers! This is the mindset of many of our so called "protectors"..bas*** ds....

Sir, that is a fair post, and I respect your opinion. But you have to understand that when somebody loses their life, taken by the government's force, who have a responsibilty to do better than this. Come on, three armed deputies shooting a nearly deaf man in the back? Please...somebody dropped the ball here. I'm glad they don't 'make a habit' out of this. Do they? There is much more I could post here but it would be conjecture. I'm trying to stick to things I know. I am educated and hold a professional position, but I also knew this man, and he was a hard worker, cared about people, and getting pretty long in the tooth. I don't subscribe to all the things that these men did but they never forced anything on anybody and nobody found drugs there..wasn't that why they were there? Not to kick in doors and shoot people...I sincerely doubt that this guy went for his gun, if he had one!(throw down weapon?..we'll probably never know) But if he did, could you blame him? I'm sure he had no idea what was going on trying to wake up and figure it out himself. Where were the drugs? This place has been there for years and never been raided...hmmmmmm....seems like there could have been a better way. I would be scared too if I was in the deputys' situation, but I"m not sure if I would have had to open fire with a couple of my scared buddies and kill a man.

I wish they would release his name. I used to work with an Old Biker that hung out there and lived up that way. Even though he was an Old Scooter Jerk that doesn't sound like him. Hope he's Ok. I can't remember his real name. We all called hm "Sundown" as a joke.(All them old bikers are named "Sundown".)

Maybe the Sheriff went in blazing hoping for this outcome? Since it was a drug warrant they know if you kill one biker 500 come to the funeral. No better way to find out who all of his associates are.

I agree with you mostly, but I do believe no drugs were found. The reason being is that it would have been mentioned and the other people at the residence would have been arrested.

Too bad there weren't more garbage bikers in that bar for the SOT team take care of.

Did the residence have a hearing impaired sign posted on the outside of the bar, or were the cops supposed to be psychic.

You should not have to post your handicap everywhere just to avoid being murdered.

That's more of an execution than a warrant being served.

Yes they prepared, they got the sniper in place on the sleeping man then woke him up.
Since there was a gun nearby they could just pull the trigger at will.
I hope the lord finds a suitable place for cowards like this.
Unless you know the facts, SHUT UP!!! No sniper was involved in this shooting.
