Ummmm.....I thought 2025 was our plan for the future. Build an arena and give welfare to American Airlines and we'll all be rich.

It looks like we were once again lied to about 2025. I understood that 2025 included what is now being called "PLANiTulsa". Maybe I'm wrong....Maybe the potholes in our roads, that I must dodge just to go to the grocery, are actually a figment of my imagination too.

Just like we picked the police chief , vision 2025 projects and wasn't there public involvement with some other development ideas last year. Then of course we know how much we are heard on 3rd penny ideas . Oh and the fix the streets meeting, how many simple ideas from citizens are in it or will be pushed aside for the many other frivolous ideas........
Sorry I could care less anymore about being told public input will be used...
Couldn't they use the survey that was done by a Tulsa group last year on line , much cheaper

This has absolutly nothing to do with Vision 2025. This is a completely different matter. This project is not costing taxpayers a thing, a grant was given specifically for this project. Had any of you done any research or called to get information on this, you would have found that out. I plan to do more research and read the current plan before making any decision on what the new plan should entail. I hope, more people become "informed" before passing judgment.

Should be a state statute requiring cities to review the Comp Plan every so often.

if we develop the river , build the american statue, allow drilling for oil in city limits. we will get our roads fixed. we need to think of what type of city do we want to leave our children . i was born and raised here left as soon as i could, because there was nothing here. returned 12 years later and still nothing . i remember going to san antonio as a kid and they had a river and the alamo. went back 2 years ago they have great roads, nba team and still a very nice city. it all started from that little river. and yes they developed the river with tax money. but now the visitors tax money pays for there roads and infrastructure. we are going to have to spend a little to gain a lot.

These are the kinds of ideas that this planning committe are looking for. The issue right now is not having to money to follow through with the plan, it is simply getting a plan for what Tulsan's want their city ot be in 20 years. What kind of a city people want their children to enjoy.

I think this is a wonderful opportunity for citizens to get involved in the direction the city takes from today. I would strongly suggest that although we are looking at physical developments in our city that the physical developments in part be connected with the social needs or our communities to create synergy and more productive outcomes. We can't build malls and other physical facilities without looking at education, crime, health, employment, environmental, youth, media, government, senior citizens needs and the list continues. I would further suggest that Community service Councils input be taken into consideration in addressing some of the social concerns and needs of our city.
