Looks like it is a Cessna Citation X (N986QS) flying as EJA986 (Netjets Aviation, "Execjet") that came in from Jackson Hole, WY.

Still not really a reason for much fanfare. The only reason they didn't get a tug and drag it off of the runway is because it probably would have damaged the wheels/gear and TUL isn't really all that busy to where they couldn't divert traffic elsewhere.

how can you see the picture and say that it looks like at cessna citation X? This is a Citation jet and more specifically a CJ1.

Never said I was right. However, the engines are bigger in comparison to the fuselage than a CJ1. Also, EJA986 landed at TUL about the time it happened.

How can you look at the picture and say it was a CJ1?

Oh...forgot to mention that I saw the SkyCam when it was being moved off of the runway and that picture was much bigger and the paint scheme appeared to match that of N986QS. However, I could still be wrong.

The airport never closed. They have an East/West runway long enough to handle most all of their traffic. I supposed they just used it.

Then you are still wrong. That was a CJ3, not a CJ1. It was also on the ground 90 minutes before this incident. That aircraft landed at 1:36. EJA986 landed at 2:55.

I never said they were closed? I just meant they directed traffic to 08-26 since they don't handle a large number of aircraft that can't set down on the shorter runway.
