TULSA Boxer Rescue is a great resource for a new addition. They want to place people with animals/boxers that "fit" in your current household enviroment. I share my world with three wonderful boxers and a labby. ALL WHICH ARE RESCUED ANIMALS!
If you can't get to the boxers ou are interested in, you might be able to work out a home visit with one of the volunteers.

I was thinking about a doggie door but then they would be outside without supervision. I wish I could afford a surveilance system but if they steal my dogs I might never find them and it would literally kill me.

I am seriously thinking about quitting since I found out what my new hours would be ...9am-6pm. My dogs would be alone ALL day. I wish I could just find a part-time job that pays well. I already have income coming in from the VA, I just need a little more money to make it completely. I gotta make a decision very soon since my money has been depleted.

Those who mishandle animals are the same as child abusers since these animals cannot fight back, much the same as children cannot fight back. They need to be punished to the fullest extent of the law and very severly.

This just really boils my blood. I have a boxer that looks just like the one in the picture. I really would like to see the SOB that is doing this be given the same treatment he is giving to these dogs.

Where is the Oklahoma Alliance for animals about the case in Pawnee? Are they going to get away with their crime, just because they are cops? I agree that what happened to the boxers is horrific, but at least they are alive. The dogs in Pawnee weren't that lucky. Maybe we could tie that officer outside in a run, and forget HIM for 3 days with no food or water. All my animals have been rescues, and I just can't get over the fact that he "forgot" about the dogs.

We have a boxer also. He was a rescue also. We LOVE him. He is a part of my family and my son's BEST friend. He is the smartest dog I have ever seen. Whomever done this needs the accelerant poured on them and lit. I am soooo sorry for this pup! I hope he finds a good loving home.

There is someone in pet classifieds that is looking for a boxer named Mikey that looks just like this burned dog! I have emailed this person twice and told him to call the sheriff, news6, or tulsa police and to do a search on news6 for abused dogs to view article and picture. I'm afraid this dog was his tho. At least the article says the dog will survive.

Well if I saw or heard of someone doing this, they would be gaining a ride to the ER, if they were lucky, probably more like a Hearst.
