I have known Felisa since the 6th grade we both just graduated.. this is so terrible. I have always though God has a plan for everything.. And everyone has a purpose.. I don't understand the purpose of taking her so young.. I feel for this family and I hope we all never take our family for granted..

Over 40,000 people die in the US every year in car collisions (give or take a thousand or two). The VAST majority of people, who after they pass their first drivers exam, think that now all the rules of the road go right out the window.

"I got my license, now I can do whatever I want."

Rolling through stop signs, driving even FIVE mph over the limit. Not using your turn signal ONCE. Do you think you would have PASSED your drivers test and even been issued a license to beging with if you had driven like that?

What a crock of crap.

What happens is that after you get your license, you can pretty much bet that you can get away with anything (traffic violations) with total impunity.

Think about it.

How many times have you truly rolled through a stop sign, didn't use your turn signal, broke the speed limit and NEVER GOT A TICKET? What kind of enforcement is THAT? You get really USED to it!

And THEN when you DID get a ticket you were incensed that you didn't get off with a warning or if you did get that ticket it was surely because "the cops should be out getting REAL criminals instead of me".

Check it out.

Compare MURDER statistics to TRAFFIC FATALITY statistics. There are plenty of cops to chase murderers. There's a very small fraction of cops available to the people who commit MURDER in their automobiles.

You want to save some American lives? For one day devote each and every available law enforcement officer to the duty of traffic enforcement and you will save countless more lives in one day than those that would have been murdered by a handgun.

Don't believe it? It doesn't take much research to figure this one out.

OMG! There's 20 people dead from the Swine Flu! It's a PANDEMIC!

OMG! Hell there's THAT many dead in ONE DAY on our roadways!

Ok, I'm off my soap box. I still don't feel any better. Rats.

That ol'cemetary is full of people who thought they'd live forever, the grave don't care if you're 16 or 106, rich or poor, male or female, intellectual or illiterate live each day as if it were your last because someday you'll be right!...ain't none of us gett'n out've here alive! I've been pallbearer a few times but the worst was yrs ago for a young mother of two who died in a vehicle accident. Those who know their time is due has an advantage in that they get to call their family and friends close for a last good-bye, those who are suddenly taken don't have that option. Time on earth is like money...spend it wisely as you may have to give an account of it (depending on belief in the here after).

Ok, I am confused..........

I read the article a few times to make sure I was not the one who was lost.

It says two vehicles were involved in this accident, and the drivers sister died at the scene.

Well, which driver? The driver of the truck, or the Oldsmobile?
The other ppl who are expected to be ok, which vehicle do they belong to? I understand getting the news out to the public, and I usually get irritated with ppl who complain about the way an article is written. But I have to admit, this one is totally confusing to me.

I know that I would.. hell anyone would. But nobody is to blame things just happen and there is nothing we can do.. SO have some respect please.. That girls been through enough already in her life. I feel so crappy. I wish that there was something that could erase this pain.. Trying to find the balance here.. It seems were eaither really happy in life or really torn down.. How do u make sense of all this. I didn't know Courtney but I do know her sister. And my heart achs so bad for her..God watch over us if ur really up there..

Courtney was my partner in crime. we did everything together. spent a lot of time together. she became a little sister to me and i would do anything for her. she became a big part of my life throughout the past year and a half. she will be missed by so many loved ones and friends. i just wish Felicia could understand that it is not her fault this happened nobody seen it coming nobody could of stopped what happened. you guys will be in my prayers. just remember you cant go on with life crying every single day court would not have wanted us to do that she would want us to just laugh and remember everything that went on with her. she was deffinatly not a shy person at all! she was very outgoing n she would never miss a beat! she will always be remembered in my eyes as my shaniqua :) i miss you baby girl i will see you at the crossroads.
