I know the family. The owner is a hoe, her daughters are hoes so it made perfect sense for them to have a business like that. And check this out, her husband is a deacon or something at the Vietnamse Catholic Church. Such a disgrace!

There are still several Massage Parlors under Investigation. Many are running fraudulent operations. It is just a matter of time before the evidence generates more arrest in these parlors

Vice is an economic issue. It helps the local economy. It attracts people going to conventions. Why do you think all the political conventions go to huge cities...because they want a variety of recreation options. What happens behind closed doors is nobodys business.

Okie1- It depends, are you needing therapeudic massage? If so, ask your doctor for a recommendation. If you just want a day at a spa sort of massage, go to somewhere that does more than just massages- one of the several salons that style hair, do nails and give massages. Check the phonebook. If the place is advertising on little signs everywhere that they give an hour long massage for $30 or something, there is a reason. Ligit places don't need to advertise like that. Just be smart.

BSa- Just because something happens behind closed doors, it doesn't make it legal. If it's illegal, then it is certainly the police department's business. Ew!

I am a "john" who frequents these places from time to time. It's my money, my time, and what happens between consenting adults is my business. In amsterdam and in reno it is legal, and nobody dies there. These girls are just providing a service to all of us ugly lonley guys out there. Most of the girls that do this, support their kids with these wages. I allways use a condom. There is nothing wrong with prostitution.

Why not move to a place it is legal if you feel so strongly that there is nothing wrong with it? America was founded on Christian values and morals. Prostitution is illegal to this day in America. Thank God you use a condom since you "frequent" these places. Regardless of what the prostitutes are doing with the money they earn, they- and you- are criminals. You are breaking the law. It's just that simple. Why not hold out for love? If you do meet someone someday, what do you think she will think about you being a "john"? I would have never dated anyone who I knew saw prostitutes. Lots of "ugly lonely guys" find love... why not you? I hope you are able to reconsider and turn your life around. I hope you find someone meaningful who can share their life with you- not just a quick romp in a "massage parlor".

I can honestly see both sides. These massage parlors are obviously wierd and yes it is illegal, so don't do it. On the flip side, as a tax payer, I would much rather these stings go towards violent crime, drug pushers, child molesters, ect..TPD needs to get it's priorities straight. Allocate our resources towards making Tulsa safer not wasting time and money on some lonley guys looking for some attention by a consenting adult.

Really? WHERE In the US Constitution does it say "Christian Values", then?

I DO recall some passages that clearly prohibit support of organized religion.

But I don't recall ANY "foundation" on "Christian" values.

Furthermore, I find it's the Christians who scream the loudest when the PATRONS are rounded up...'cause it's always THEM who have the largest representation.

Just like the bar down the street from my house-- it's busiest night of the week is Wednesday. Right after Church lets out-- it gets THE MOST crowded.

Hmmm.

Not in Nevada and certain other places it ain't.

It's usually Christians who frequent those places-- likely due to all the oppressive Christian dogma they must attempt to live under. And can't. Who knows?

But, I DO know it was Christian busy-bodies that first forced through laws that criminalized prostitution.

Separation of church and state indeed.

Would that it were really so...

Hear! Hear!

And, while they're at it, they should clean up the meth labs that dot the landscape around town.

Any neighborhood that isn't "cracker white" can be a host for those, often unknown to the neighbors. At first.

All it takes is a little observation on the part of the neighbors (odd cars coming and going at all hours of the day and night, never staying for more than a few minutes). And some phone calls to the TPD, who DO check those out, eventually.

But, not enough, it seems.

Whether criminal or not - it's definitely the cheapest and quickest - no comitments, conserving
personal freedom, not responsible to anyone. Not preferable and disgusting, but still? some like it that way - women too. Why not just leave them in peace. The police will take care of it since it's legal. Soon comes a law here, like already in Sweden, making BUYING of sex illegal (in order to try clear the streets of hookers. But where do you think they'll pop up then?? Right: indoor and called any creative activity other than sex...like masage parlors.
Any idea how many 10's of thousand of prostitutes (criminals) operating within the U.S.in spite of it being illegal? Probably twice your police force?!?? Must be of considerable importance to your GNP I guess?

You know, consuming alcohol is neither against the law nor against what the bible says. No, I don't believe that people should go out and get shnockered, but drinking is legal.

America was founded by Christians, whether you'd like to admit it or not. The Ten Commandments are where the first laws originated. You know, thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not commit adultery...

"It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists but by Christians, not on religions, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ." - Patrick Henry

We are talking about Tulsa here, but yes- you are right, prostitution in licensed brothels is legal in parts of Nevada. So let me reword what I said before... Why not move somewhere prostitution is legal? In almost all of America, prostitution remains illegal to this day. I know, move to Nevada in a county where there are fewer than 400,000 people and has licensed brothels...

Better?

Very interesting that you claim to know that Christians make up the largest number of patrons of prostitutes. 1- there is no way for you to "know" that. 2- not all people who claim to be Christians actually are Christians. 3- way too many people try to lie about Christians in order to make themselves feel better about living the corrupted lives they lead.

So? You set up a strawman, so you can knock it down, then?

What's your point?
Leave to the detectives wrote:

Complete and utter BS. Only a very few of the original signers were Xianists. Most of the rest were deists. Some were agnostic or atheist. NONE were militant, in-your-face, you MUST worship exactly as _I_ do or else types.
Leave to the detectives wrote:

MORE BS. Your BS just gets deeper and deeper. ALL of the commandments in the Bible were plagiarized from other religious and moral sources. Mostly from when the Israelites were captive in Babylon. Your basic ignorance of both Bible history and US history is extreme.
Leave to the detectives wrote:

Copied from older, secular moral and ethical codes. Not original to the Bible at all.

Nice out-of-context quote.

How about you actually STUDY the lives of the founding fathers, some? Jefferson was pretty much anti-christian. He even re-wrote the Bible, leaving out all the "magical" bits. He did not think Jesus had any magical powers, but was a human.

Yep. At the behest of the weak-of-faith, who MUST force the LAW to conform to their religion. I suppose, they are too weak to do it on their own-- they MUST have it as a LAW, else they will fall.

It's a RELIGIOUS idea, not a secular one. But I digress.

Better?
_I_ don't frequent them, legal or not. I got better things to spend my hard-earned money on.
Leave to the detectives wrote:

All I have to do is watch the numbers of patrons, and time them with the comings and goings of church services.

And, to see who protests the LOUDEST (the Christians), likely to divert attention from themselves and their own weakness.

Finally, the majority of people claim to be Christian, so simple statistics will indicate that most of the patrons are Christian.
