the people in the pick up, are they OK ? apparently so, i think they were the ones that caused the wreck in the first place - they are probably on their way to fish in the cement pond. im sure they kept righ on down the highway.

Just what makes you think the people in the pick up caused the wreck??????? Nothing, in the article, suggests that. It says the firetruck did not negotiate a curve, hit a telephone pole, and then hit the truck.

According to the story there was no one in the pickup truck at the time of the accident. It also states that no one on the ground was injured.

Hello
|
According to the story someone pulled out in front of them.
|
|
Read the Article
|
Read it for yourselves: "Witnesses tell fire officials that a vehicle pulled out in front of the fire truck, causing the accident, but officials say an investigation into cause of the accident is underway." It is because people don't care about emergency vechiles. All they care about is getting to where they are going. But when they are hurt they expect EMSA or TFD to get to the immediatley. An emergency vechile has the right of way when their lights and sirens are going!!!

it also stated that no one was hurt - now they are saying there is someone hurt in serious condition - quit assuming, girl - it could have been worse and it could have been you.

People please read the article before posting comments!!! First..."oh no", it says in the article they were responding to an accident. Second.."Oklahoma Sweetheart", it states in the article that a car pulled out in front of the fire truck, causing the accident.

I hope everyone comes out fine . It is these men that we rely on to save our lives in the situation . So keep your smart ass comments to yourself or better yet drive down to the local station and tell a hero your thought and maybe after they smash you in the mouth they will give you a bandage !

My husband responded to the incident. The damaged green pickup truck you see in the videos was parked in a driveway and unoccupied. That truck had nothing to do with the accident.

Incredible
|
The news just said that they had a car pull out in front of them, they hit a guardrail and jumped a curb, then the truck flipped and smashed into the green truck which was unoccupied. One firefighter was pinned between the vehicles and is in serious condition, and the other two in the truck are not seriously hurt.
People just don't pay attention while driving anymore. What's so important on that damn cell phone you can't hang up and talk to them when you're not driving? Is the latest gossip on your friends or relatives so life endearing that you can't wait the 10-15 minutes to talk? And do you really have to text while driving? After a few close calls myself I've stopped talking/texting while driving and if I see you doing it and yo're the reason why traffic is moving 35 mph on the highway..I'm gonna honk my horn at you as I fly past doing the speed limit! Oh...and if that DVD is over..turn the flipping thing off or pull over to change the movie!! My kids know if I'm driving..they have to wait to be entertained. If it's a long trip or if I'm running errands..I pull off the road and fix it.
Wake up people! You're life isn't more important than the guy next to you..so shut the F up and drive!!

WHOAAAAAA People!! Haven't we gotten a little off track. SG says she saw the Wreck, the truck caused it, OK. That's it. They will investigate. But we need to think about the injured firemen and say a prayer for them and ALL drivers need to pay more attention and give them the right of way when they are have their lights and sirens on. Many times I have seen drivers totally ignore them. While sitting in LaFortune Park yesterday with a school group, I watched an ambulance try to get by a beige mini van that was totally unware that it was being followed by the ambulance with it's lights and sirens on. Talk about a really bad driver. Let's all wake up! Tho'ts and Prayers to those injured men!!!!
