green means go. yellow means go . red means stop
or if its green and you think its going to turn yellow , do not slow down, that is what causes road rage.

Just because you can only focus on one thing doesnt mean everyone else does. Do you really think an officer arresting someone is gonna leave the scene of his bust to chase down a red light runner? No, you dolt. Besides, this is all PR, to give the public a heads up. If they can save a few lives by spreading the story of this campaign and its penalties for driving like a moron, I say go for it. Here's a little Dubya insight:

You have nothing to worry about if you arent doing anything wrong.

Yes, just last week in downtown someone we know was pulled over for running a yellow light.

I have been pulled over for running a yellow light. I was told yellow meant 'to clear the intersection'. Which is what I was doing. I received a warning. Our friend was not as lucky and received the $165 ticket.

Running red lights puts peoples lives at risk !!!! They should be ticketed !!!! I do not always agree with TPD or TCSO because of the bad attitudes they have .... But the law is the law regardless of how petty you may think it is !!!! It is there for a reason !!! more often then not i'ts to protect you and youre families !!!! It does not matter if you are murdered or hit by someone running a light , you are just as dead !!!!

not sure bout the yellow light tickets today, but in my younger years (some 20 to 25 yrs ago) I got 2 tickets in less than 3 weeks for running yellow lights. I do all I can to stop at 'em now that I am all older ya know, mostly because I am always traveling at a much lower speed and can pretty much stop if I see an ant crossing the road 8 feet in front of me.

I have to be honest. I understand the need for lights at major intersections. But here in south Tulsa it seems like every time some old fart has a problem getting out of his or her neighborhood they complain to the city about needing a stop light at the entrance to their neighborhood street. It seems like there's a light at every other neighborhood street entrance/exit these days.
If it's a major intersections I'll stop on yellow if I can. If its a neighborhood light yellow light might as well be green.
Europe has roundabouts. This seems to work a lot better as far as traffic flow.

Regarding the yellow light...I think the law is you have to be more than halfway through an intersection when the light turns yellow.

A yellow light violation is when you enter the intersection on a yellow light but do not clear the intersection before it turns red. A Red Light violation is when you enter on Red.

Yeah let's go after the red light runners. I got a ticket for making too wide of a turn on 71st.It didn't endanger anyone I was the only person on road that early. Thank goodness the Judge thought this was insane and threw it out.I guess it was a slow day for ticket writing.

Not all lights are created equal. Some lights do not stay yellow a second, and others are 3-5 seconds or more. Other lights change upon approach of a vehicle, and you can get caught in the middle with a red and it not be your fault. Trying to make the laws equal for everyone means all the situations have to always be the same, as far as lights go that is not the case. There has to be some room for judgement for both parties the individual and the law enforcement officer.

Some people are just so arrogant! Red light runners endanger the lives of others just as much a drunk driver. I say throw the book at them the first time. Bring them down a notch ot two. It could be your family they mame or kill while rushing to whatever menial destination they are in a hurry to get to.

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Libra

You're in an idealistic mood today and only want to see the best in other people. This is typical Libran behaviour, because you aren't good at facing up to harsh reality at the best of times. Today, you're ready to believe that someone is a candidate for sainthood or that they're the best thing that's ever happened to you, regardless of whether it's true or not.
