George Soros Kaiser should give money to the city to fix all the roads, make it safer and clean up the drug problem. They should spend money on demolishing 61st and Peoria and rebuilding it and cleaning out North Tulsa. Perhaps if the roads, crime, gang and drug problems were fixed, then Tulsa may have a chance of luring companies, people and quality jobs. Tulsa will never be a destination city...poor leadership and no vision. But this park will bring Tulsa together....lol

Place for mugging, rape, theft, drugs, law enforcement resources.

Money would be better spent on getting more business and jobs in Tulsa.

WMCOL, you know better than that. Tulsa always does things backwards as they are a regressive thinking bunch. It is deemed by George Soros Kaiser (the guy who really runs Tulsa) that bringing a park and a gathering place will better Tulsa. I'm certain that this park will make Tulsa a safer place, rid it of the rampant meth problem, bring countless people from all over to visit it and bring thousands of quality, high paying jobs. Yeah, right. What a waste of money.

Are you sure Tulsans are regressive, or just following the wishes of Kitty's daughter and being more progressive. You know..spend, spend, spend someone elses money :)

I'm pretty sure Tulsa is pretty lucky to have such a generous philanthropist like GK putting so much back into the community. Quality of life improvements are important for attracting business and jobs.

We might knock the springs out from under our cars, and shake all the bolts and nuts loose on the neglected city streets, but at least we will have a nice place to rest and assess the damage.
