Anyone that has discernment can observe a man that asks for millions of dollars on television, giving himself a choice either go to to the Lord or raise money. The Lord speaks to my heart and any man, no matter how wealthy or respected begs for money as an exchange to pay his bills and deny his God given spoken word for a peice of property is obliviously a money changer. Christ expressed angry passion at the money changers. Christ tore down the money exchanges at the temple. Money for a blessing? Even Judas tossed his silver peices to the ground. If the Good Lord spoke to me personally and said 10 million dollars or I'll take you to home. I would go home. Prestige, Respected preacher. Are just defentions. May the Good Lord be merciful, and forgive our ignorance, and as we die not speak the words Christ spoke long ago, " I never knew you".

Oral touched my life for 35 years as a Christian and just before. I will miss him. He was like family to me. Have prayed for the family for over 30 years. He taught me simple faith and seed giving and living. It has worked in my life even as an Evangelist and in every day life. Thank you Oral. I love you so much and will wait to meet you in Heaven.

Bless you all, He was truly a man after God's own heart>

We loved Oral Roberts ministries. We will pray for you all at this time.
We still have a personal ThankYou letter Mrs Roberts wrote us after a personal Financial Gift we gave them, after Oral Robert brought a message at Eagle Mountain Int. Church.
I still treasure that letter in my Bible reading it often.
They are now added to our Great Cloud of Witnesses, Praise God!!

Oral Roberts touched lives of many people. He was a very blessed man of God. You can't mess with God's people. Talking about God's people is like talking about him, and God doesn't make junk and his word NEVER comes back void. Let's go back to the saying that we all heard in school, "If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything." I dnt think you quite got that memo,so I'm telling you.

I thank God for this man of faith! I respected him as a father . Even though I'm in India and never met Oral personally, I first studied the faith walk with my Lord through his valuable writings . His preaching and books gave me great insight when I was born again. I pray for his family who has the mantle to carry on with the God given task for the extension of the Kingdom of Heaven on earth! Indeed God has blessed him with a blessed long life and now took him to be with Jesus in Heaven ! Praise the Lord!

If you gave that old crook any money, you are an idiot.
Too bad he lived 50 years too long. Good riddance to bad garbage, it's a shame there's no hades because it's what he deserves.

As the acclaim for Oral Roberts is seen all over the Internet and all media, let's not forget his true legacy. He is the man who presented the Christian television station owners with their magical spell for fleecing the flock of Christ - the seed-faith heresy. Seed-Faith is a twisted perversion of the parable of the Sower of the Seed in which Jesus identified the seed as the word of God that would multiply if sown in good soil. I document this in my book, The Fleecing of Christianity where I spell out Oral Roberts' record on hearing directly from God: http://www.apostasyalert.org/Oral%20Roberts.h...

While I sympathize with those who have lost a loved one, the damage to the true Gospel continues to go forth on Christian television - Oral lives on.

Lady, you should NEVER post your address on an internet thread. You should certainly never post your name and address and tell everyone that your are in a position to donate money. Really, really bad idea. I will pray for your safety from online hooligans and I will pray that the Lord will bestow you with the wisdom not to do this again.

While I believe made up screen names are just fine for discussion in non-news related community forums, I agree with Jay Cronley of the Tulsa World when he says that real names should be used when a person claims to be exercising one's freedom of speech.

You cannot write a Letter the Editor of the Tulsa World and expect it to be published by using a phony name. They won't even consider it for possible publication if you don't use your real name and a working phone number where they can call you to see if you really wrote the letter.

I don't approve of posting personal addresses and phone numbers in News Discussion Forums such as this one.

But, I believe in the right to give my legal name when exercising the Freedom of Speech as guaranteed by the 1st Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America. I was even willing to defend that right for 6 years of obligation with the US Army, although I only was on active duty for 2.

Mrs Amanda Muller,
That church was started by an ORU drop-out who worked for Ken Copeland. Ken Copeland talked George Pearsons into dropping out of ORU and told him he would teach him all he needed to know. It was George's idea about starting a church on the Ken Copeland Ministry property in Newark, Texas.

I knew George and I found that out from George when he was dating Copeland's daughter at ORU.

Copeland should have told Oral Roberts that he was having financial problems while he was a student at ORU. I write that because Copeland was a pilot and a chauffeur for the ministry while still a student there.

I didn't know that it was ordinary to lock yourself in a car by accident long enough to miss a child birth. Condolences to his family though.
