SAD !!!!

I've been battling dui offenders for over 35 years.

Nothing really changes, except for the families of a love one.

God bless this family, it saddens me that a person can have such a history and still be driving! I never had a father and it is so painful to see when a loving, respectful father, husband and outstanding man is taken from their family. May God give you all the strength, peace and forgiveness in your hearts to continue with your lives to the fullest.

So this guy can get drunk again, drive, and maybe kill another. The lab is dragging its feet. Government workers seem to do everything whenever they please.

If you think they are discouraged now....wait until they plea bargain down this charge to a misd. and give him another deferred sentence or a suspended sentence. This state absolutely sucks when it comes to punishment for DUI and repeat DUI offenders. Our state leaders don't have the guts to put teeth into our punishment phase after conviction or admission of guilt. Oh, wait...he hasn't been charged yet. I'm not so sure the lab is dragging its feet as much as it's overwhelmed by all the cases it's having to work with so little money and manpower. Thanks again to our state legislature. It a good thing I'm not the judge these clowns would be facing upon conviction. BTW Judges don't have to accept any plea bargain offered by the "state". So they are just as much a part of the problem as anyone else involved in the process.

Oh, this just makes me so mad! THe entire justice system in this state just stinks. They should learn how to do things right from somewhere like New York. Can you imagine if they took all this time to get bloodwork back there? It just doesn't happen in big places like that. They seem to have a better system for this.
This drunken idiot is free to drive all around town while the family of this man is left basically in prison, just waiting for some sort of justice to help with a little bit of closure. I can tell you one thing, if this guy kills anyone I know and love, I am just going to do some justice myself. Drunk drivers just don't deserve to live. There, I said it.

Yep, way too long for this, even then the guy won't get any jail time I bet...just hope no drunk ever hurts one of my family members..I won't wait for the results to administer justice!

Chris was my best friend for the last 10 years. I was the last person to talk to him and he was coming to Tulsa Raceway Park to watch the races with me. He was taking back roads on his bike when this guy blew through the stop sign. The guy drove over the grass shoulder and exited I-44 to avoid traffic or elude. It has been frustrating to know that this guy is probably out there getting high or drunk and laughing with his buddies about this accident.
I hope they hang him with the maximum penalty.

I am a bit shocked on this. Rogers county is a big DUI bust county. They are normally on the tail of OSBI when it comes to tox reports. So sad, they need to get to the bottom of this and allow the family to start healing.

Crab: I know your angry, but I very seriously doubt this guy is laughing about killing someone. That is a bit far fetched.

In the hospital, it takes us about 2 hours to get a drug/alcohol test back. When you go to take a drug test for a job, you have the results in a week. How can the tests be any different? It makes no sense that it should take this long.

This is a state legislature problem that has existed for years, just like the OSBI. Another reason why we have so many DUIS is there failure to act on this.

This is terrible and it is bull****. His sorry a$$ should be in jail. There is no excuse for this. I am sick and tired of all these people that get away with this kind of s**t. If this was to happen to my family I would hunt him down.

NCIS on TV can do it in about 30 seconds. Seriously, this is Oklahoma folks. I have learned that if you do not expect anything from State government in the order of professionalism, efficiency, quality, honesty, accountability you will never be disappointed. You are setting yourself up for disappointment if you expect anything more. Welcome to Oklahoma! You voted for these democrat clowns!

They lost my blood work, and I was acquitted of DUI, but they still took my license for a year, which is a clear violation of the law. These people don't have to worry. The guy's going to prison with or without blood test results.

It shouldn't take more than a few days to get the results back...however, I see a lot of people on here convicting this guy already...it is possible he was not drunk. Probably was but you should wait to be sure. I am not even sure why we have OSBI...sounds like a socialist government agency to me...I thought we were doing away with those here in Oklahoma...and yes, that was sarcasm

yes, he did commit a crime. yes, he has a record of previous problems. yes, the life of a loved one has been taken to heaven because god was calling him home. God chose to leave the young gentleman on earth to repair and live with the damage he has caused. On a daily basis, this kid will remember that day forever. Suffering from his own horrible mistake and judgement. Losing a loved one in a tradgic accident is very hard to deal with, but at least he is not suffering. Things happen for a reason, and in time god will allow you to see the reason. Our justice system is terrible that is a no brainer. i just pray that you put your angered, hurt, mourning hearts in god's hands and i am sure that he wont let you down. Even if you dont get what you want for justice out of the judicial system god will heal you if you just let him know this tradgic problem is in his hands and that you are trusting him to take care of it.

oklahoma dragging their butts? this guy should have done this in texas. he would be in prison by now. i know the pain. i lost my 23 yr old son by a drunk driver 6 yrs ago. and it sure didn't take long for the driver to go to prison. they should pass a law all over america that if your arrested for drunk driving, you should "not" be able to post bond. go to court first.

Reading this is a good example of why we have justice for all, and Oklahoma leads all states in DUI killings. Its time for justice now, lets these bleeding hearts lite there candles once again.
