All we get in Tulsa is a worthless exhibition game. Come on Presti give us a real game or two.

Yes... the entire state. I know it has been approx 16 years since I took Oklahoma history, but the state is Oklahoma, not oklahoma city, correct? The Thunder represent OKC, but OKC needs the rest of the state to fill up the Ford Center. I believe Mr. Bennett said that the team needed to be associated with OKC to bring a possitive light to the city. He said they would look at moving it to the Oklahoma Thunder, in the future. I believe now may be a good time.

great in thought, but that would mean that bricktown would lose out on one or 2 nights of full revenue, they would not even think about doing that. They give us an exhibition because it will draw people down to watch the real thing. They give us Memphis, because it is freakin Memphis, why would anyone want to watch Memphis. It would have been a low revenue night considering it is also a exhibition game, but toss it up to Tulsa and they will most likely get greater than 75% capacity since we don't get professional basketball up here.

Or you can get off your lazy bum and make the short drive to OKC and attend home games there like I do. I'm a season ticket member from the Tulsa area who drives a lot to the Ford Center during the regular season.
I'm glad the Thunder are coming back to the BOK. Granted, it's a preseason game that means nothing, but Tulsans should be so thankful that the organization is kind enough to give us a taste of NBA action in our back yard.
OKC citizens voted and approved a multi-million dollar expansion of the Ford Center a few years ago. This approval was a cornerstone in bringing the team to OKC. Therefore, the Thunder is truly OKC's team. That's why they probably won't play any regular season games in Tulsa.

Why should it be the Oklahoma Thunder when OKC is the one footing the bill for the facilities?
It's all good because we have the Tulsa Shock. I don't see us sharing that with everyone.

Paperleight, good for you, glad you have the time to make the trip to and from OKC. Some of us don't have that type of time, it is not that we are lazy, it is just that we cannot dedicate approx 7-8 hours of a day to watch a sporting event that might last 2-3 hours.
Just because a team is housed in a location, doesn't mean they are truly someones team. Utah Jazz, NJ Nets, Minnesota T-Wolves, Golden State etc... all Teams located in a city, but classified by a state. Those teams DEPEND on the AREA to fill the stands. Just like OKC DEPENDS on Tulsa to help fill the stands.
And OKC may be footing the bill for the arena, but it is just to get you down there to spend your money in the local area. Which raises their revenue.
