Why are there no names posted in this article? They should suffer the public humiliation of having their names publicized in order to deter future crimes. Perhaps family and friends will explain to them the consequences of their actions, if the justice system does not.

Cute name (Clint Eastwood played this part) and I remember the show "Rawhide" where they did hang rustlers, at least on TV.

cattle rustling? seriously? what is this the 1800's?
No, it is not the 1800s but average cow at $500 with 32 head ....substantial loss for the rancher and profit for the rustler. In 1800s, you had to drive the cattle off to a nearby county or state where the brand was unknown. In 2009, brands are published and can be traced when necessary and paperwork is on file/accessible and cattle are "trucked" to other states without tracks to follow until sold. They wanted quick cash from the sale of beef instead of doing something else with the cattle and got caught. Rehabilitation should include having to work a ranch and see the blood/sweat/tears that goes into producing these cattle.

I am confused as to why the auction place doesn't make the ranchers or sellers provide actual documents to prove this cattle is theirs and came from their branding.

Odd isn't it that the article didn't put names with those mugs..anyway, I'm glad to see that the cattle have been returned home safe and sound, I was worried about their welfare...I'd write more but I'm headed over to the Avalon (medium well).

They weren't stealing cattle, they were looking for a suitable partner. Certainly look like fine, upstanding young men. What would they do in the old west for cattle thieve'n?

Has hanging been outlawed? Rope is cheap, lawyers are expensive...we can find a tree.

I think that two of them are brothers (Jones) and their dad is a lawyer in town. Maybe why there names are not listed. In the local newspaper, the names are listed.
