Flying Tiger lounge

Back in the 70's there was a bar on east Golf links called the Flying Tiger.

Had a mock up of the P-40 warplane on the roof and I had heard that the owner was a vet pilot of The AVG in China/Burma.

Anyone remember this or know the owners name?

yes, i remember it well. it was owned by mr. edward chessen, who flew with the flying tigers. my father, who drew sad sack comics, took me there for a private party hosted by mr. chessen. the band was count
basie and his orchestra. i met count basie, shook his hand.

The correct spelling is CHESIN. He was my uncle.
