Now it is time for the Vatican to respond. China only want the Vatican to adhere to the 'One China' policy. While the Vatican does not want to antagonize the Nationalist government in Taiwan.
Now it is time for the Vatican to convince the Nationist government to understand that there are 12 million Catholics in the mainland who need a sherpherd. This Taiwan need to comprende. |

Dalai Lama continues German trip - Beijing protests - Deursche Well 5/17/2008
The Dalai Lama is continuing his visit to Germany by giving a speech on peace and human rights in the western town on Monchengladbach. Later in the day, he is travel to the Bavarian city of Nuremberg. Meanwhile, China has again sharply criticised the Dalai Lama and his trip to Germany. But the German Development Minister Heidmarie Wieczorek-Zeul will go on meeting the Dalai Lama on Monday ignoring the Chinese protest. At this point, China with no precondition whtsoever should invited the Pope of German origin to visit Tibet to bless the Tibetans and proclaim the word of God, the good news, to all the Tibetans. It is about time that Tibetans should hear the word of God. Christ came to convert the Jews but the Jews, the stiff necks as the Bible refers to, rejected the word of God. So God's message of salvation was passed onto the gentiles--Tibetans are included in what we call the gentile. A visit by the Pope to Tibet will tell the German MPs that they are wrong to be so ferociously supporting the Dalai Lama psuedo-human right speaches. A visit by the Pope to Tibet will shut the mouths of the German MP and the Dalai Lama will have no German audience. |

It is impressive to see how many monks are still fed and supported by the Communist government. This burden should be reduced by luring young Tibetans to be more productive both in work and reproducing themselves. The old theocratic feudal system has been dismantled by the central government. Young Tibetan should incorporate new thoughts of freedom and become more like young people in Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Taiwan. To be a monk is no longer the only way out to succeed in the Tibetan life. |
