if you didn't post so many lies and counterdictory statements, I wouldn't have to pester you for explanations.
some things DON'T change, do they? some OLD truths remain TRUTHS thru the Ages, don't they?
Human Nature hasn't evolved since recorded history, has it? sneaks and cheats will ALWAYS find ways to 'get over', won't they? what difference does it make if it was Romans or Chicagoans?
isn't the wheel STILL round? fire burns? water is wet?
well, Socialism, Marxism AND Progressive-ism are STILL bad ideas and ideologies. changing locations, years or members does NOT change the Historical facts.
NONE of those ISMs made this Country great, did they?
but, they sure are destroying it.
thanks to folks like you... that aren't smart enough to know that if IT ain't broke, DON'T FIX IT.
how's these Progressive 'fixes' doing in the American 21st Century?
hurry, hurry, HURRY...
That's funny, Higs. I see a lot of comments that I've previously made have been incorporated and adopted by you in this post. I suppose I should be flattered.

Yes, water is wet, etc. And?

If you were trying to make a point with this post, I missed it, because you didn't post any of my so-called lies which I could answer. Still, I do understand that you think I'm stupid. I'm crushed.

Progressivism is used today in place of liberalism. It's not a lie when I say I'm a Social liberal. I've said that from day one when asked. But, I'm more conservative fiscally. I'd rather not pay a penny more in taxes of what I've earned than necessary to keep a smoothly functioning society with a safety net. I'm fairly sure most working class Americans feel the same way regardless of their party. Who wants to spend their hard earned money to provide welfare and special tax breaks and deductions to already profitable corporations? What do you call that?

Sadly, and to the detriment of the country, left over hippies are in control of way too many of our institutions. Most of them like Chris "tingles" Mathews live in exclusive, upscale all white communities.
"Like many suburban towns throughout the United States during the first half of the 20th century, Chevy Chase excluded individuals based on race and religion. Founder Francis G. Newlands was an "avowed racist"[3] who in 1912 mounted his presidential campaign on a platform that called for a constitutional amendment to disenfranchise black men and limit immigration to whites only. Three years earlier, the Chevy Chase Land Company had brought suit against a developer who had begun to sell lots to black people in a planned subdivision called "Belmont" on the grounds that the developer had committed fraud by proposing "to sell lots...to negroes."[3]
By the 1920s, exclusionary language had begun to appear in Chevy Chase real estate deeds. Some prohibited both the sale or rental of homes to "a Negro or one of the African race."[4] Others prohibited sales or rentals to "any persons of the Semetic (sic) race."[5] By World War II, such restrictive language had largely disappeared from real estate transactions, and all were voided by the Supreme Court's 1948 decision in Shelley v. Kraemer."
That's where Chrissy chose to live. His HQ to chastise other whites who can't afford to be his neighbor.

That's an easy one.
First of all, we aren't as divided as someone seeing the world from your perspective thinks we are.
The division that does exist is extreme because too many far right wing (white) people can't accept that America is changing and they would rather bring the whole thing down on all of us than deal with the fact that they aren't going to have things their way.
:)
I think it goes much deeper than just getting "things their way" Jax.

With its increased government spending, enlargement of the national debt, bailout of large multinational companies, creation of the potential for increased taxes for future generations, and infiltration into formerly private areas of common life represented by recent proposals for healthcare reform – these policies and practices have tipped the balance between trust and fear, for many, in the direction of fear, and not only of fear but anger as well.

From the vantage point of some, the enlargement of government functions, decisions, and regulatory authority was the best possible response to a critical situation and to a disaster that loomed ahead. For others, it has created a sense of endangerment and the need for defense, as if life, liberty, and the capacity to live freely were being challenged in the most basic way to an extent that had not taken place before.

Ha ha- me too!

But...WHAT about that statement Nancy P. made when referring to the new health care bill AND, along the same line of nonsense! She stated, "you will have to read it after it passes and the fog clears to know what is in it." Seems that today, some of the top dems. are eating those words as they are finding out as the FOG is clearing. They are not liking the results as that fog is lifting AND all is exposed! The results and findings are going to be VERY costly and not going to work as thought originally. Ah, should have read it before passing it-simple enough! Idiots!

He is truly one of our forgotten patriots but he is a laudable example for all Americans – a hero worth remembering and honoring during Black History Month.

NOW talk like ADULTS on it!
the depth and breadth of historical knowledge about minorities in general AND BLACKS SPECIFICALLY, during the course of America's tenure, from colonial days to present, is mind-boggling.

it is also DELIBERATE (IMO). who has been in charge of manipulating our public/college history lessons since ????

anybody, answer me this: if u are white and interact with black folks on a routine BUT not intimate basis (read that as at work, play, school, etc...), have you ever had a conversation about something YOU learned as per Black History and found THEIR knowledge sorely lacking?

I watch a lot of History Channel-type programs and read many a book about such things and am always surprised at how little my three black co-workers DON'T know. apparently, they either are NOT interested in such or are getting most, if not ALL, of their info from 'limited' sources. or, they just don't give a shyt because they are too busy, like me and you, MAKING A LIVING.

somewhere in OUR not too distant past, some bodies/some how/some where&when went to a great deal of trouble to HIDE this type of UNITING info, didn't they?

for example (and you GB haters out there will love this), if NOT for Glenn Beck's former FOX News program, I doubt I would ever know about BLACK Confederate soldiers or the two black staff members of G washington's that appear in the ORIGINAL painting of his crossing of the Delaware. did you, dear reader, know that?

there are hundreds of such examples of 'sanitized' historical data that PRIOR to our CW were common knowledge and presented as normally as Rev Al's T Brawley accusations are today.

remember the STINK the Progressives raised when conservatives took back control of the Texas Book Board and voted to either restore or KEEP such historical data?

the sign of OUR demise have been there all along. it ONLY took $11T in Nat'l Debt and an OPENLY Marxist-as-Democrat Pres'l candidate uttering 're-distribution' to open many an eye and ear!

oh, well, BETTER LATE THAN NEVER....

Bay Area Law Enforcement Encourages Fighting Back Against Active Shooters
February 21, 2013 12:02 AM

SAN JOSE (KPIX 5)– Law enforcement agencies have begun adopting a new policy on so-called “active shooters,” encouraging civilians to take safety into their own hands and take down gunmen who threaten them at work or school.

This approach is gaining momentum in the wake of tragic incidents in Newtown, Connecticut and the Oikos University shooting in Oakland.

At San Jose Evergreen Community College, police have trained teachers, staff and students to follow specific guidelines during this kind of emergency.

Do you think it's wrong to call a child racial slurs Honey?
If you do then I wasn't talking about you and I'm not sure why you seem to have taken offense or why you would be so determined to broaden the scope of what I actually said.
I don't have a side. I'm just me and sooner or later that irritates the hell out of both "sides".
Today it seems to be your turn.
Just wondered. Seems both sides use "they", "them", "those" too loosely sometimes.

I think you probably know I would never call a child a racial slur and do not agree with anyone who does. I would expand that to include never calling an adult a racial slur.

Do not leave out the WHOLE reason! Please.
And avid gun control advocate Robert Sherrill notes in his book, The Saturday Night Special:
The Gun Control Act of 1968 was passed not to control guns but to control blacks, and inasmuch as a majority of Congress did not want to do the former but were ashamed to show that their goal was the latter,
the result was that they did neither.
Indeed, this law, the first gun-control law passed by Congress in thirty years, was one of the grand jokes of our time.

Preface: I was raised to be against guns. My parents hated guns, and believed that they only lead to crime and accidental shootings.
I was raised in a blue state, and I have long been deeply influenced by leading voices for non-violence, such as Gandhi and King. So – until recently – I was pro gun-control.
As such, I was stunned to learn about the historical background behind gun control campaigns.
The Real History of Gun Control

The key word is "historical" and the subtext is "fear."

• Right-wing was scared. Southerners wanted gun control because they wanted to keep guns out of the hands of black and black slaves. Southerners were afraid that they, as slave owners and vastly outnumbered by blacks, could easily be overwhelmed by an armed black slaved rebellion.

• Right-wing is still scared. Today, we don't have slaves and while the Left-wing fights for gun control, the Right-wing remains frightened of blacks. "Blacks," they argue, "are now armed. We need guns to protect ourselves from them."

Second point. Your reliance on Infowars for news is dumb. It's just another version of Rush Limbaugh. What I wrote previously applies here: Using Infowars to support your conservative position is analogous to a Christian using the bible to support his.

Please join us in the future, but bring your critical thinking skills with you.
