I swear, you all sound like sixth graders! Do you plan on conscripting doctors and professionals or are you planning on sending those we have left to "reeducation facilities" - to get their heads right?
I hate to break it to ya, but we (you and I) have a different view of the world and how things ought to be.

I don't like the Affordable care Act.

I think it's a horrendous, poorly written, inconceivably complicated piece of legislation and a complete sellout to the medical establishment, for profit insurance and and big pharma.

If I had my way we would do everything possible to take the profit motive out of health care delivery altogether.

It worked in the military.

You get sick, you get treatment, you go on with your life.

<quoted text>I think you just spoke when you should have remained silent.
I started school prior to your school experience. I've had children and grandchildren that have gone through school more recently. Knowing all that I know it goes beyond having religion in school. It's become if you do allow religion which religion is acceptable? Perhaps you like the nuances of Sharia Law. Or that of the practice of voodooism or any number of religions. I don't want them in our schools nor do I want them being addvertised in our public buildings or places. Now I know in order to keep them out I have to be willing to leave out Christianity.
Having said that my opinion of the Constitution would prevent any religion to be mandatory in any public place. But it would allow each person to practice those religions where they want to do so. As long as it wasn't disruptive or placing others in a position of having to be subjected to the other persons right of lack of religion.
This is where it gets sticky. Does it harm another person if they see someone bow their head and pray silently. In my opinion it in no way does any harm to those around the one praying. Plus how would they know for sure that this person is really praying? When it's in silence then you can't know for sure. The fact that it became outlawed so to speak for football players to bow and take a moment of silence after making a goal is wrong. Yes it's in a public place but it is also the right of that player to take that moment to thank the Lord. He has the right to do so because everyone else is normally in their own frenzy and even if they weren't it does no harm to any others. We have had children that were denied the right to pray before lunch.
We are living at a time that we have far more to take into consideration higgins. It isn't just a matter of religion should or shouldn't be allowed. It's a matter of if you allow one religion then you have to allow all. Along with the fact that our Constitution is very specific about separation of Church and State.
here's the deal, okay?
poll after poll finds 60, 70& of citizens claim to BE religious (primalrily Christian).

the government at ALL levels embrace a HIGHER power (Congress opens EVERY session with a 'prayer', the Pres just took his oath on a holy book, etc...).

certainly, CERTAINLY the NOTION of 'separartion' of church and state is a MYTH. the premise that THAT is what the First Amend sya OR means is pure poppycock. THE WORDS ARE NOT THERE.

still, there is this very vocal and persuassive FEW (10/20/30%?) that persist in foisting this nonsense upon the total population.

given the discrepency in the polls and actions and the interpretattion, let's put it to the Amendment Test and SETTLE THE QUESTION.

Q: WHO does it benefit to keep matters like this (and gay marriage/'rights' and abortion and HC and welfare, ad nasuem) UNDECIDED and dividing the Country?

I believe these questions are NOT submitted for consenus approval, the Amend Process, because those that support the 'Progressive' POV, like NO prayer/rel in public sch, KNOW they would lose the fight, period.

the Amen Process was put on our Const to handle these matters WHEN THEY COME UP. hence, the term 'living document'.

isn't that what you were taught in public school? along with the concept of America being a 'melting pot'? you know you were, right?

c'mon, be honest...

We've noticed it, and you've got to admit it, that you hold a pretty bleak future for this country. And for the sake of argument, let's say it's because of liberal political policies. Now I know you don't put much faith in education and learning, but there's a theory in behavioral psychology called "recency bias." It says that people's assumption of the future is closely shaped by the recent past. Recent events are easy to recall, especially if they're traumatic or extreme. So we end up using yesterday as a baseline for what we think will happen tomorrow, systematically ignoring change.
What was your traumatic event? I'll answer for you. I bet it was the loss of the election. But more than that, it was a humiliating loss to you. Since you've basically said you’re a bitter old white man, the loss of your party of bitter old white men (the GOP) to some uppity educated (i.e., elitist?) black man was especially traumatic for you. And from that point on, that single event has clouded your future. So, as the theory says, you end up using yesterday as a baseline for what you think will happen tomorrow, systematically ignoring change.
We've got you pegged for what you are.

unleaded gas is the greatest thing since Post Toasteis!! 100K miles used to be the LIFE of a car. today, thanks to UNleaded gas, cars are JUST getting their second wind at 100,001 miles!

Video: Cop Lands Helicopter to Harass Woman
Ridiculous waste of police resources caught on camera

A San Bernardino police officer piloting a helicopter was caught on camera circling a lone woman in the desert, before landing the chopper and then proceeding to harass her in a ridiculous example of how police resources are being wasted to shake down innocent people.
http://www.infowars.com/video-cop-lands-helic...
Police Helicopter Borrowed For Football Stunt

The chopper, usually used on drug busts, was borrowed without authorisation to drop a football onto a high school field.

The incident was captured on video and uploaded to YouTube.

It shows a DOJ agent dropping a football from the helicopter to his son, a player, on the field.

A search of the video-sharing site shows helicopter ball-drops are relatively common occurrences at football games.

The cost to taxpayers for use of the chopper was between $900 and $1,300 for the stunt, not including the cost of hiring the pilot to fly the aircraft.
