THIS IS VERY SHAMEFUL TO THE SWAZI PEOPLE. THERE ARE SUFFERING YET THOSE WHO ARE SO CALLED IN 'TOP' ENJOYS THE TAX THAT IS PAID BY THE POOR CITIZENS. ACTION MUST BE TAKEN AGAINST SUCH MATTERS. FROM UNIVERSITY OF LIMPOPO.

I happened to have visited Swaziland about three years ago and thought it to be oneof the most beautiful places I have seen. I also saw first hand the extreme poverty of the country. People were actually hungry, not because they did ot want to work, but there seemed to be a lack of jobs. These were prople who lived in rural areas and seemed to be having difficulty in just getting the bare necessities. I saw children taking care of children for both parents were deceased. Community members when they could had taken in some of these children
I am just rather taken aback that in the face of such extreme poverty, and an infrastructure that seemed outdated that such extragrance would not seem out of place.
If I evere get another chance I would love to visit this region again.

I was watching a SABC production (Cutting edge) on the 16 October 2008, It highlighted the poverty that the people of Swaziland are facing with increase in HIV and AIDS and the water shortage and I was very surprised about that as Swaziland always seemed to me as a Country that is economical strong. Most of the higher Institution are closed down and most youth are unemployed I think its time for democracy in that nation, or the Swazi nation will end up like Zimbabwe
