That's right Gettysburg has history and lots of it!! The other thing Gettysburg has plenty of is UNfriendly locals!!

Locals don't care about tourism or being friendly and polite to an out of towner. All they care about is give them the money and leave!!

It wasn't to long ago that it was posted (BY A LOCAL) how everything is geared towards tourism and not them. That attempting to get into a resturant was nearly impossible because it was packed with tourists!!

First they complain there isn't enough tourism and people in the town, and then it was to many tourists were in the town.

I wished the UNhappy locals could make up their minds what they want!!

Pink Eye, I do remember that post. But I do believe you misquoted the individual. I donít believe at any point in that particular post the individual complained. As I recall, there was a comment about tourism being good, or visitation being good and that this person used the fact that he or she could not get into one of the eating establishments they liked to visit.

I didnít see any complaining, only making a statement.

only making a statement? Yes it was, "just a statement" however a very telling statement. Locals don't like tourism and the inconvenience they feel it brings. Otherwise, that remark would have never been made. That remark hasn't been the only tell tale sign of locals not like tourism OR the reenactors, but one of many.

Yes a very telling statement. The town was busy and it was difficult to find a place to eat.

That is all it was telling. The rest is your conjuncture and interpretation of what the individual intended to say.

LOL, another spin on things by a local. I've been here long enough to know exactly what locals think of vistors and reenactors alike.

Or is it that only those locals who posted here were anti tourist/reenactor and that's not the general consensus of the entire community?

Naw, that couldn't be could it? I can't believe for one second the happy little posters (whom no longer post, but are easily found via Borowhiners) would have that much clout within the community to make a difference.

Naw, couldn't be...

Why did you stop posting there? Because you knew you didn't have any clout, or because you didn't have a clue?

How many "locals" posted here? 3? 4? I see a Patten here. 2 minor complaints means all locals hate tourism. 3 violent crimes in 10 years means there's a violent crime epidemic. Silly kooks

No, spin would be when 2 people say something and you try to attribute it to an entire town. Spin is trying to make a half dozen crimes, most of them years old, into an ongoing violent crime epidemic. I know it's hard to grasp.

Hmmmm, all your previous responses were claims you never went near the site. "x" marks the spot and you just stepped in it. Looks like you were the one that got in over your head over there, although I understand in your case that it was an easy feat.

I didn't step into anything. See although for some strange reason, you feel as if you have an upper hand on thing, in reality you don't.
You see, my dear little swine its easy to lead you to believe one thing, when in reality it isn't the case.
Such is the case of you believeing that I am someone named Dani, when in reality I'm not. HOwever, if I post something that may or may not make you think I am this person you continually assume that I am her. That in its self is why I keep coming back, just to laugh at your stupidity. As I stated once before if you only knew the truth....but I've been having my share of fun with this for quite some time now.

The thing is, all of those towns are so much bigger than Gettysburg. Camden, NJ has similar crime numbers but is at least 10x more populated than Gettysburg.
I hate Gettysburg and I hate the locals.
