I'm glad these barriers are coming down. Petrzalka is an hour from Vienna and now people can essentially commute from Slovakia's capital to Austria's. This is good news for local homeowners in Bratislava 5, who have already seen their home values appreciate due to personal income tax cuts (to 19%) and the elimination of property transfer taxes. I was there for New Year's Eve and was able to attend mass in Vienna on New Year's day.
