Obama to visit Beijing in November: US envoy

Jon M Huntsman, Jr., the new US Ambassador to the People's Republic of China, talks with the press at his residence in Beijing yesterday Beijing: Barack Obama will make his first presidential visit to China in November to bring fresh impetus to relations between the US and the Asian giant, Washington's new ambassador said yesterday.

President Obama is proving that reaching out diplomatically and building strong relationships is better that saber-rattling, threatening and being isolationist. In just 6 months we have seen the positive results from President Obama’s overtures to the Muslim world; in Iran, Lebanon and Palestine in particular. Muslims and Islamic countries now have a more favorable view of the United States and because of that terrorist have come out and said that they are now dealing with a wise enemy (referring to President Obama) and in a directive to their followers they change their tactics of targeting civilians. There is a lot of good that will come from building a strong relationship with China especially when it comes to our finances and disarming North Korea.

I am so proud of President Obama; he is a brilliant and strong leader and we are truly blessed to have him as our Commander-in-Chief.

Obama to raise 10-year deficit to $9 trillion

U.S. deficit poses potential systemic risk:

WASHINGTON (Reuters)- The Obama administration will raise its 10-year budget deficit projection to approximately $9 trillion from $7.108 trillion in a report next week, a senior administration official told Reuters on Friday.

The higher deficit figure, based on updated economic data, brings the White House budget office into line with outside estimates and gives further fuel to President Barack Obama's opponents, who say his spending plans are too expensive in light of budget shortfalls.

The White House took heat for sticking with its $7.108 trillion forecast earlier this year after the Congressional Budget Office forecast that deficits between 2010 and 2019 would total $9.1 trillion.

Scotland has REFUSED to release other prisoners based on a "humanitarian reason" and kept them IN prison!
