If they're actually Russian soldiers like the government claims, why didn't Obama tell Putin to ORDER them to disarm? ;)

I don't know whose bright idea it was to mess around in Ukraine but at this point it looks like it's all spun out of anyone's control.

I read the protesters in Kiev are already turning on their new government now.

If it ends up in a civil war, who will help Ukraine's citizens? The UN can't send in anyone since Russia will veto it. NATO?? Not unless we want to see WW3.
The Russians will have to be sent in as peacekeepers. It's the only way.

Exactly! The Ukrainian crisis was perpertrated from the outside by the same old meddlers;the Nazi-loving ukes hiding out in the west. Nato, the USA and especially the Canadian diaspora need to butt out and stay out of Ukrainian business. Only the Ukrainians have the right to decide what they will do. This is not like picking whose side someone is going to be on in a game of soccor on the school grounds.

The USA and Nato have no business butting into the business of every country on the globe. They don't have the understanding of the situation. And they did a lousy job in Yugosl.avia., breaking up Yugoslavia into seven tiny nations, and taking Kosovo from Serbia to whom it belonged and giving it to Al;banian squatters who came over the border to cause troub le where they were not needed nor wanted. Buitt out USA and NATO and Let Ukrainians make their own decisions.

Right on all counts!
It must be like a soccer game for most Americans. Have you been reading the press? I cannot believe how ridiculous it all sounds, and they lie so much! As usual, when Russia is the topic, they have a very hard time not contradicting themselves and anyone with any critical thinking skills - or internet search skills - could see for themselves that it was all bulls- There were times when I had to just give up and laugh.

Why 27 members of the crew of an American destroyer resigned? So much scared the Pentagon?
The Pentagon acknowledged that the simulated attack su-24 on the US Navy destroyer made a demoralizing effect on the crew of the ship
According to the leading world agencies, on Saturday, April 12, 2014, the aircraft of the Russian air force, the SU-24 (option was not specified),made a flight around the us destroyer "Donald cook", equipped with the latest American ship multifunctional combat information and control system "EG", and also armed, among other things, cruise missiles Tomahawk.
On Monday, 14 April, the Pentagon made unexpectedly emotional comment on the events. His spokesman, Colonel Steve Warren, said: "These provocative and unprofessional actions of Russia do not correspond to its national regulations and the previous agreements on trade cooperation between the armed forces of our countries."
Also, Warren said that a Russian su-24, which, apparently, was not on Board the combat arms, 12 times passed near the United States naval ship on Saturday when it was in international waters off the coast of Romania. I do not know anyone, and I was so emotional, and even hysterical speech serious guys from the Pentagon, seemed very strange.
Indeed, what is so that unarmed front-line bomber, frankly, not the last generation has passed, may, 12, near the newest, specializing in air defence destroyers of the United States? For example, in the times of confrontation between the USSR and the USA, such flights by planes ships of both powers were performed almost at every meeting of potential enemies.
So what happened this time? So hurt Americans? Moreover, according to semi-official, appeared on secondary resources of Runet information, after this incident, "Donald cook" urgently called the port of Romania and there are 27 crew members wrote a letter of resignation and left or fixing to leave the ship. This is indirectly confirmed by the words of the same application of the Pentagon. It argues that the action demoralized the ship's crew. Here I nearly confused in what is happening.

Someone explain to me? Neil Clark - a columnist in The Guardian, the Morning Star, the Daily Express and many other Newspapers are published on the website RT article about double standards and contradictions in the positions of the West. Supporting the Maidan, Western politicians do not honor their attention protests in Europe and bloody invasion of Iraq, in their opinion, more democratic referendum in the Crimea. I'm baffled.
British journalist saw the light.
A few weeks ago we in the West were saying that people who occupied government buildings in Ukraine, is good. These people told us our political leaders and observers of the leading mass media, "protesting for democracy". The U.S. government has warned the Ukrainian government from using force against these "democratic protesters" - even if, as we have seen, some neo-Nazis who throw the police "Molotov cocktails" and other things that break the statues and set fire to the building. Now, after just a few weeks, we are told that people who occupied government buildings in Ukraine, no "democratic protesters"and "terrorists" or "militants". Why in January to seize government buildings in Ukraine was a well, and in April was very bad? Why the use of force by authorities against protesters completely unacceptable in January, but acceptable now? I repeat: I am confused. Someone explain to me?
In the winter of anti-government demonstrators in Ukraine visited some prominent Western politicians, including Senator John McCain and Victoria Nuland, the us Department of state, serving cookies. For the last week in many countries of Western Europe underwent a major anti-government protests. But they have not received such support neither of these persons, nor from the observers of the leading Western media. The protesters did not have free cookies from officials of the U.S. state Department. Maybe if McCain and Nuland was so fond of anti-government street protests in Europe and would see the true form of "democracy", they would have shown solidarity with the protesters in Madrid, Rome, Athens and Paris? I'm baffled. Someone explain to me?
British journalist saw the light.
A few weeks ago I saw an interview with U.S. Secretary of state John Kerry. He said: "you can't just invade another country under false pretenses in order to defend its interests". But I seem to recall that over the last 20 years in the U.S. have done so. Maybe I forgot the claims that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction? Maybe in 2002 and early 2003 I had, as politicians and experts neo-conservative daily appeared on television to tell us, mobiles, what should we be at war with Iraq because of the threat from the deadly Arsenal of Saddam? As Afghanistan, Libya, Yugoslavia. Why a democratic vote in the Crimea on the issue of reunification with Russia worse than cruel, bloody invasion of Iraq - the invasion, which killed about one million people? I'm baffled. Someone explain to me?
In addition, Western politicians and media "experts" with serious faces told us that the Crimean referendum invalid, because he is held in conditions of "military occupation". But I just looked at the reports on elections in Afghanistan and Iraq, which are held in conditions of military occupation. Western leaders, such as the NATO chief Anders Fogh Rasmussen praised them as "a historic moment for Iraq and Afghanistan" and the great success of "democracy". Why vote in the Crimea is written off from the accounts, and the elections in Afghanistan and Iraq arrogant? I'm baffled. Someone explain to me?

Syria also very puzzling. They keep saying that a group of radical Islamists represent a serious threat to peace, security and our "way of life" in the West. What al-Qaeda and similar groups should be destroyed, that we need to wage against them continually "war on terror". However, in Syria our leaders sided with such radical groups in their war against the secular government that respects the rights of religious minorities, including Christians. When the bomb al-Qaida and its allies explode in Syria and kills innocent people, our leaders do understand. They condemn only secular Syrian government, which is struggling with radical Islamists and the overthrow of which desperately want our leaders and observers of the leading media. I'm baffled. Someone explain to me?

And gay rights. We are told that Russia is very poor and backward country, because it has adopted a law prohibiting propaganda of homosexuality to minors. However, our leaders boycotted due to this law the winter Olympics in Sochi, visit the countries of the Persian Gulf, where homosexuals can face imprisonment and even execution. And they warmly welcome the local rulers, not mentioning about the rights of gays. Probably, imprisonment or penalty gay is much worse than a law that prohibits propaganda of homosexuality to minors? Why are our leaders, if they so sincerely concerned about the rights of homosexuals, attack on Russia, and not on those countries where gay jail or execute? I'm baffled. Someone explain to me?

In numerous newspaper articles, we are told that the Hungarian ultranationalist party ' Jobbik ' very bad. Its rise is of great concern, although this party is not even represented in the government and it is unlikely there will be. However, in Ukraine neo-Nazis and ultra-nationalists hold positions in the new government, which our Western leaders enthusiastically support. In February neo-Nazi and extreme right has played a key role in the overthrow of a democratically elected government of Ukraine, in the "revolution", which was welcomed by the West. Why ultra-nationalists and ultra-right groups invalid in Hungary, but valid in Ukraine? I'm baffled.

We are told that Russia is aggressive, imperialist power, and that NATO is worried about anti-Russian "threat". But the other day I looked at the map: I saw that with Russia border or nearby a lot of countries in NATO - led by the US military Alliance, whose members over the last 15 years was bombed and attacked many countries. But I have not seen any of the country near the Americas, which would be included in a Russian military Alliance, I have not seen the Russian military bases or missiles in countries bordering States or nearby. And yet we are told that "the aggressor is Russia. I'm baffled. Someone explain to me?
