I do not agree with you or the diaspora that it is okay for the Diaspora to try to control Ukraine from the outside, as they are not Ukrainians who are Ukrainian citizens but are really Canadian and American citizens. I do not agree with the narrow views of the North American Diaspora, and you are not as nice as you pretend to be with that personal attack on me on another site. I live in Colorado, but not in Denver as the ISP says and the isp changes, From Denver to Longmont to othe subburbs of Denver, only due to how the signal works in these moutains. I have never used any ISP than the one I have inspite of accusations by those who have never signed on with the Topix community. I do not play stupid dishonest games like that. I was born in the American Sector of Germany to emigre Slavic parents (I won't say which nationality-and no it is not Russian), and have lived in various parts of the USA mainly NEVADA, Nebraska, Montana and Colorado since I was five years old and I have gone through the entire school system here in the United States since kindergarten, inspite of the sickos who have accused me of many falsehoods. Your parents are from either Belarus or Ukraine. So what's the big secret eh?

Smetana- an excellent post. I have personally met many Amishers. They are a wonderful, kind, and peaceful people. When a crazy man killed a bunch of children in an Amish school a few years back and then committed suicide, the Amish reaction was to go to his family and say "What can we do to help you?'. These are great people. To add to your post the words of LIncoln "Government of the people, by the people, and for the people" NOT Government of the people by a select few for their own benefit.
Robocrap--- not a precedent at all. The Amish obey the laws. While they decline to serve in the military because of their beliefs, many of them have served valorously as medics and other non-combatant duties. They pay taxes, and obey all other laws. The fact that they choose to live a simple lifestyle is really none of the government's business. Unlike the government system you so vehemently support, our government is wise enough to leave them alone. This my friend, as I have said before, is something foreign to you. It is called freedom.
