When I drive out in the old Fort Bonifacio area, and see all those high rises being constructed, it looks like a brand-new city, rising all at once, rather than an extension of Manila.

i don't think so. those infrastructures are just cosmetic. they will not be able to maintain such. as pilipinos are known to be laid back. pwede na iyan.

Well, at least this is a start. Investment in infrastructure is needed as this will help stabilize employment creation. But it's true that Filipinos in general are too laidback in terms of their work ethic and getting things done. This is an aspect that needs to be changed and get the growing Middle Class to think ahead instead of just 'now'. Pero ang mga infrastructure investment ay talagang mabuti para sa job creation. Kailangan ang tourism at medical visitors from overseas as this will bring more employment.

This is good news, at least. News like this should encourage us filipinos more to help ourselves and our country.
These investments, new infrastructures, tourism and medical services will help create more jobs for filipinos.

The vast majority of tourists are single men coming to avail themselves of your women. Your country has a world-wide reputation for sexy available women. You need to encourage whole families to visit the Philippines but it will never happen while your police force are corrupt and often the perpetrators of crime rather than upholding the law. Being a nation of many islands you have a good network of internal flights but when you get out of the cities the roads are soooooooooooooooo bad.

I hate the skanky, whorey Filipina women here in Australia who got into the country by marrying middle-aged and old Aussie men. sila ay basura talaga! I never associate with such b!tches who have no respect for themselves or their fellow kababayans.

From what I have seen in the Philippines, Filipinas tend to go for older men be they Filipino or foreigners. They tell me that they can't trust young Filipino men to stay loyal. I find your attitude appalling, yes there are some who are cheap whores but so many sacrifice themselves for the sake of their family. The only asset they have may be their looks and as the breadwinner marrying an old foreigner can be the salvation of the family. I am not so perfect that I would be able to cast the first stone. You must remember I am British born and bred and it was only when I travelled to the Philippines I realised what poor really meant. If I was a Filipina and could escape poverty by marrying a foreigner I probably would if he was a decent chap and there was some affinity between us.

I wouldn't be jealous as I can see here that you ain't one of intelligent decent Filipina women around.

P.S. I was born and raised in the Philippines. I am not an Australian-born Filipino.

I didn't say ALL Filipina women who are married to foreigners like that. Just the bad apples that gives the rest of us a bad name. Of course there are decent, intelligent Filipina women married to Aussie men etc. I was just pointing out the ACTUAL whorey ones who think they are better than everyone else just because they married to these Aussie men.
