Sheryl Singh needs to realise that this is not charity to the poor. The rugby teams are getting DIGICEL unprecedented exposure throughout the country, mostly rural Fiji which surprisingly holds a good market share of the mobile market in Fiji.
I am pretty sure the sponsorship to a sporting organisation is also a tax deductible expense for DIGICEL and they most likely catch some tax breaks due to this as well.
So yes, great job for sponsoring but please don;t make it out like you are feeding the poor. The people who get the most out of this partnership is DIGICEL.
Pull your head in lady. This is a marketing bonanza for your company and milking this to the max is psobably your job anyway but stop making it sound like a donation to the poor. It's give and take...more take for DIGICEL from what I can see.
