Obama is in a pickle. He is playing chicken in a Volt and he doesn’t have any juice. If the Republicans walk because Obama will not offer cuts, then the cliff is what Obama wants and what his voters get. When the tax cuts expire, all of Obama's voter base will get a tax increase. I can hear the squeals and the gnashing of teeth already. Let's go people, call your congressman and tell them to get behind the bus and push this clown and his stupidity off the cliff. Maybe his arrogance will go with him.

Let them go over the cliff. We cannot afford to give the brainless wonder boy unlimited Debt Level. The only ones hurt by Obama's stupidity are the ones who reelected him. Let them eat cake, or McDonald burgrs.

Obama also asked for executive power to raise the debt ceiling so that he has unlimited spending power to do what he deems necessary.

Is Obama having another pillow fight again?
Too much monkey business for me.
Obama's brain is made of mud.
I wonder how much he and Rice got paid for lying about Benghazi by the Muslims?
More than Bill Clinton did for letting Bin Laden slide back around 1998?
I bet they did.
Rice is worth over 20 million. I bet she just made a few cool millions after Benghazi. Some Arab somewhere had to pay them off to act so stupidly to try and make Americans look bad and make Muslims look like victims for killing our Ambassador.. A movie and a mob my ass.
There's too much monkey Business going on for me.
That's my take anyhow.

Ok, seeing some of you still play the D and R game and debate the puppet show.

Look people. We drove off of the proverbial cliff in May when then Debt to GDP ratio hit 101.5%.

Exactly what we are witnessing now is exactly what I have would happen previously in other posts. Even had a friend of mine call me last night and say I was right.

For those who did not see what I said, I basically explained it all. This is nothing more than a piss poor reality.

The Democrats will go out there and bitch and cry that the Republicans will not work with them and blah blah blah. At the same time, the Republicans will go out there and say that the Democrats will not work with them on cuts blah blah blah.

Then come xmas eve or xmas day, a miracle will happen. The Grinch's heart will grow three times bigger and the D's and R's will strike a deal at the 11th hour.

When they do they will act like saviors. The media will portray them as saviors from ever certain doom. People will no longer have to worry about dying in the street. They will go as far as call themselves saviors.

Al the while, you, me, everyone just got royally screwed and more debt put on top of us. But they saved you.

Its all bullshit, you should be able to see it for what it is. Where is my bullshit button?

Been there, heard that. Bush did it and rich people need to pay more. His leading from behind doesn't work as well at home as it does on the rest of the world.
Bush did it? Same high unemployment rates (double digits for blacks and hispanics), same ever growing national debt (being financed by China and the Saudis), same policy of interfering in countries in the Moslem world (from Iraq to libya to to Egypt to Syria to...), same policy of government bailouts. Really the only thing that has changed is Obama borrowed Romney's idea of Obomneycare. Other than that this is Bush's fourth term. Not a dime's worth of difference really.

Because the system is set up in such a way that no matter who you vote for the same Democratic Republican party retains power. Same old same old. Obama was Bush. Romney was Obama. All pretty much clones.

...House republicans have decided to take the taxpayer's hostage in the Fiscal Cliff negotiations....much like they did on the debt ceiling negotiations, which earned them a 8% approval rating and the US Treasury a drop in it's credit rating....They are cranky over the election result and wanna dish out some treachery to the President and the American people.....

Let Democrats bring a bill to increase spending on what Obama calls a second stimulus, raise taxes on high earners (including many small businesses) without doing a thing to fix Medicare and Social Security for current and future generations. Republicans can take a page of Obama’s playbook and vote present as he did when he was a senator. When the nation falls off the fiscal cliff, he can own it.

The tax increases that happen will be the Obama tax increases. When spending spikes, it can be the Obama tax and spend plan. And we slide into recession as the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) predicts will happen, it will be the Obama recession. In other words, it's time for the right to call Obama's bluff.

Doing so would only further highlight the Democrats' fiscal cliff irresponsibility, especially that of Obama. He almost quadrupled federal spending to that of President George W. Bush, refused to make any changes to entitlements during the debt ceiling debate and has been pushing for higher taxes for years (even though in 2011 he said raising taxes on anyone in a recession would be a mistake when he extended the Bush tax cuts).

What’s worse? Many who voted for Obama would be disproportionately affected, and low income Americans will be affected the most. According to the Wall Street Journal,“a single unemployed person making less than $10,000 would see his or her taxes rise 55.2%. Loss of benefits for the working poor is a big factor. Many unemployed people also face loss of extended unemployment benefits.”

Not true. China has divested 97% of US Holdings. Funding is coming from the Federal Reserve.

This is true. Cannot forget Pakistan, Yemen, Sudan.

House Republicans were elected to prevent Obama from getting anything done. It is their job to turn him into the next Herbert Hoover. If they do not do so they deserve to be voted out of office in two years.

Neither party has our interests at heart. It is always much better when gridlock is preventing anything from getting done.

What words are more scary than "we are from the government and are here to help"? I can think of none.

*sigh*

Obviously you refuse to see the truth. The fiscal cliff has already happened. Happened in May.

Keep carrying the DNC flag though. Do not look at the debt to GDP numbers. It is all Republicans fault.

Enjoy the puppet show.

Right offs for the super rich. Dressage, really?

Norquist, Boehner, the GOP and the Tea Baggers want to protect the super rich and give them tax breaks.

I'm ready to go off "the fiscal cliff". If that happens the GOP is dead. Shyt, they're on life support now.

"Mitt Romney has an Olympic athlete in his family. It has four legs and gave Romney a $77,000 write-off on his 2010 taxes."

Does anyone here really think that as wealthy as the Romney's are we should be paying for their dancing horse?

Why not give the corporations tax breaks? They are the ones who fuel the economy. Just make it conditional on them keeping their jobs in North America and not shipping them to east Asia.

Obama's oppressive taxes would just kill small business.

Yes the elites want to protect themselves, but, if you think that Democrat elites are any different, you are delusional.
