e-policing training is a welcome development in Nigeria and would go along way to make nigeria police highly reckonwith as one of top nations that could easily track down criminals.
I also recommend this training structure for nigeria police including the students at the police academy:
Police Foundations Program
The Police Foundations Program is a 8 weeks or 48-week, comprehensive course that prepares graduates for a variety of police and related justice career opportunities.
Skills Acquired:
Knowledge of provincial and federal standards and regulations
Accurate, effective communication
Awareness of social problems and their impact on individuals
Sound decision-making based on accurate assessment of situations
Assisting in presentation of court cases
Use of crisis intervention strategies
Stress management
Maintaining optimum physical fitness and wellness
Core Content:
e-policing to checkmate e-banking,e-commerce,internet fraud etc
Computer basics, including operating systems, applications, and keyboarding of 30 words per minute

Interpersonal communication, including business correspondence, note taking, listening skills and oral communication

Social Sciences, including an introduction to psychology, sociology, criminology and ethics
Firearms History, Opportunity for Canadian Firearms Certification including Canadian Firearms Safety Course and Canadian Restricted Firearms Course
Lifestyle management, including physical fitness, emergency response, defibrillation and CPR, Standard First Aid + Basic Rescuer Level C with AED recognized prerequisite for police, fire and ambulance programs, stress management and crisis management
