"This is indeed a bold statement, may I remind you the US had at one time control over this nation."......

OK, but under certain circumstances.....I guess if Russia had control you would not say anything.

"The country has received immediate help, which was not distributed immediately. I'm so very glad you know under which category I fall. I am not gloating over what you termed as “a little mistake” it was and is not “a little mistake” when people are standing in lines for hours waiting for water and food just to return to their tents empty handed, neither children screaming their heads off in hospitals due lack of medication while what they need is in the country and “no one” is distributing it"....

You keep repeating one thing over and over as this problem that has already been resolved does not have any relevancy ,now. So what happened to all the help from your side. So you were angry with the USA when they went there, now you are complaining. You kind of get delusional here. There problems have been taken care of and distribution is flowing, so have some rest.

"Thank for letting me off the hook, it was a bit of a hassle collecting all data, so far the data I've collected says a lot over many nations. You can thank US military for closing the airport, stagnating much URGENT help."..as per VERONICA...

My dear, one thing I really dislike is that when people make comment about how much knowledge they have and others do not have knowledge like them. Some false news about the USA stimulate your brain , how credible that will be does not base only on circumstantioal evidences. I will not agree with them if they close the airport with wicked expectation, if that is true. Where is the Haitian govt., they should be in control. Or puppets as usual. Anyway good point.

Nations all over the world reached out to Haiti, each according to their own speciality. There are no angry emotions on my part, the non distribution was/ is incomprehensible to me. I used Katrina as an example simply because it was on US soil, but as you said it was blown out of proportions, maybe Katrina's victims will agree with you.
We in Europe are of the opinion if Katrina had hit another part of the US, one mostly populated by white middle class Americans it would have been a totally different ball game.
My dear you do the hoping and praying for both of us, I'll take a back seat and wait and see how it plays off.....AS PER THE great VERONICA!!!
Finally, Yo Veronica , can you be more concise the next time?? I , really do not want to waste my time answering all these comments. I have better things to do, this has been too laborious. If you continue to make these long discussions, dear, then I will have to ignore you.
Look, this is a crisis situation and if the whole world help these people I will start singing praise to them That is what is needed. As for Katrina, I too have the same opinion , it was very sad, So blame them, I don't care, you may be right about that for whiteys. There is nothing wrong with praying and hoping, peole have dreams and when they become pragmatic about that, things happen for us. Right now, I will not chose to sit back and wait, but will continue in my spare time, not only to pray for them, but go out there and optimize my effort to continue to raise funds and help for these people. Adios!!. You have your beliefs and I have mine, but when It comes to serving and helping people in need , I WIIL NEVER TAKE A BACK SEAT. Take care and wish you all the best.

Let us agree to disagree on Haiti. US being first on the scene is commendable.

I have learned a few things about politics, its practices, globalization, the so-called free market system and the wheels of propaganda. The world bank, the international monetary fund and world trade organization are the real leaders of the world, not the individual electoral chosen leaders. Whoever wants to blindly follow the masses, fall for propaganda give support to, or defend whether it is a political, economical, religious, humanitarian etc organization go ahead, I don 't play that game any more.

Most of all I remember British Guiana and Guyana, have read about Iran (1953) Guatemala (1954), Ecuador (1981) Panama (1981) Venezuela (2002) and Irak (2003) all victims of a strategy called economic hit-men.

Whatever I write is not an extension of myself, they are thoughts, deductions or information gathered I am not a supporter or defender of any nation, sometimes the game played is crystal clear other-times one has to go behind the scenes.

Solace you are not compelled to reply and you have made it difficult for yourself in your chosen manner of answering. Wow you fascinate me I never knew I supported Russia.

Keep up the good work dear however bear in mind, the world has enough resources to house, feed and cloth every individual on the planet. There is absolutely no reason for poverty on the planet. Scarcity = profit.

Veronica , if people think like you and focus on the negative issues there will be no progression. Political propaganda has manifested the minds of people for ages, this is how some leaders are able to spread their political agendas to the people who fall prey to their motives. It will go and on for generation, it is how politics are generated to feed the mass. There is no transparency, everything is a game. You cannot leave yourself out, since you subscribed to propaganda in many of your comments. I am not "blindly" following the masses, if helping someone in need is propaganda, then I don ot understand how you think. When I help, I do not look for favors.
No one is compelled to do anything, but people are stimulated by thoughts and hence the human mind cannot idle. If you chose to lay back, maybe that is what you chose. There is good and evil, positives and negatives, whichever one suits your obsession, we have a chaotic universe, and earth is part of that , humans do have a choice or not. If the world has enough resources how come there is poverty in Africa, etc.? I guess it will just function ike that, without human resources.Scarcity also, equals death, famine, diseases, etc.

Because you are so mentally deficient that you cannot think clearly, you claim that you know politics, but you never realize the "GAME". What do you expect when you live in an imperialist/capitalist country? Did you come over here to share their politics? This computer that you are using came from those 20%. If you are so peeved and angry, for a start stop using the Whitey computer. In a capitalist country anyone has an opportunity to prosper . My father came without a penny and with that opportunity here he was able to build himself up, because of the 20%. My mother works at the hospital and my father works NY city transit, if the 20% did not hire him, then I do not know. There are many other Guyanese who came over here and own their own businesses,(maybe in the 20%), there are doctors, engineers, one of my relative recently graduated with an engineering degree, he is presently, working with a company owned by the 20%). Do you think that the 80% are unhappy, there is provision for them, all this tax money coming from the 20%. They are fighting for univesal heath, to maintain this they are focusing on raising taxes on the 20%, and not on the 80%. Minus them and look at the scenario. In Saudi Arabia, etc look at the statistics of the wealthy and the rest, so what can you do to change this. Oh OLD MAN of episodes of anxiety, schizoid disorders, and mental compulsion, simmer down , you have a one tracked mind with no real solutions. You know why I have so much respect for Veronica, she is a very level headed person, although we have disagreements, she is very solid in her comments and very knowledgeable. You seem to be mentally deranged, who will never have any good thing to say. FYI info I am an independent person. I visited Guyana and really liked what I saw, The President is doing his best to develop that country and I ma happy for the country and the people. No one complains, they like PRES JAGDEO. I like himtoo, as he is a brilo=liant man. He knows what he is doing.

Do I need to visit GY to be sure it is divided? When last was there an election without the usual rioting? Transparency is not a breeding ground for instability, transparency motivates, stimulates stability. Division along idealogical lines are usually bridged especially when coalitions are formed.

People speaks about the universe rather it should be multi-verse. There is a pattern, an order, underlying everything, otherwise night would not follow day.

There is poverty because a few wants to be extremely wealthy at the expense of the many. Economic Partnership Agreement(EPA), African,Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) with the European Union (EU) you will find your answer there. The world bank which is supposed to reduce poverty has done nothing but to increase poverty, while the corporations profits soars. Some statistics:
The income gap in 1960 between a fifth of the poorest countries and a fifth of the richest countries were 30: 1 in 1998 it was 74: 1. There is a 40/45% success rate of all world bank projects.

Propaganda, what does it mean? Now lets see,Wikipedia- Propaganda is a form of communication aimed at influencing the attitude of a community toward some cause or position.

Propaganda often presents facts selectively (thus possibly lying by omission) to encourage a particular synthesis, or uses loaded messages to produce an emotional rather than rational response to the information presented. The desired result is a change of the attitude toward the subject in the target audience to further a political agenda.

Whatever makes you think my comments have anything to do with You Personally? As I have mentioned, my comments are not an extension of myself. Why do you continue to think you know what my beliefs system, ideology, if any, life philosophy etc are?

Let me tell you something about myself. I believe and not only believe but am certain that there is only ONE and that ONE is the MANY. It is an impossibility to leave myself out of anything. I simply don't follow the masses, I don't go to church, don't pray, don't look TV I follow the news online and I do that in three languages. I read comments of others regarding topics that interest me.

My dear I have been around the bush a couple of times, I am unable to answer your questions honestly it is not my intent to burst you bubble.Your heart is in the right place, that is the sad part.

"There is a misunderstanding here. I have never felt that way, but sometimes it is good to use example to prove a point. Did i ever mention your belief systems, which perchance I don't care to know and is not interested. " I, also really do not want to know anything about you, and furthermore I never felt that your comments have anything to do with me , personally, You have really made a poor illustration of how you think.

"you are around the bush a couple of times", I hope that bush does not surround you . FYI, you have not burst my bubble, i like to be involved in discussions, I consider it a learning situation and with civility.

"Your heart is in the right place, that is the sad part", No maam there is no sad part when one feels happy in doing good for others. That is not sad, that is exciting and satsifying. I saw this 7 year old kid riding his bicycle many miles to raise funds for for people, that is happimess, but not sadness. So, if I can put my heart in that place, that is not sad. Your other views I will not bother to say anything, let them continue to function. If they do the wrong thing then there are intelligent people to oversee them and report their greediness, I am happy for that, so there can be a change. Once, just rest assured , I donot think your comments have anything to do with me persona;;y. Pull yourself together ad learn to accept other views. Sayonara.

In the USA ,here people are respected for what they do, if they clean the toilet at the transit they are keeping the place clean, because people like you mess those places. FYI my parents came over here during PNC time , people of alll races migrated to USA. Don't count yourself out, you write like an illiterate "jackass", I wonder if you were the one cleaning toilet over here. That is OK for me. There is no shame in washing dishes or cleaning toilet for a living. Some doctors, etc over here did odd jobs and went to University to study to become a doctor. Today some of these doctors will tell their story. They were were proud with their challenges in life and their achievements. Some of them are from guyana. Fat peole are human beings and I have no problem with them and should not be shunned. If you have a "taboo" for this then you are really stupid how you denounce people because they are fat. You are laughing at certain things, shows how preposterous you are. I may be far younger than you you, but in my life I have not come across such a "manic depressive" individual like you. The way you write reveal so much deficiencies, therfore nothing will be right for you. In your faculty everything is bad for you. You are terrible and highly irrational. For an old man, you really do not have any peace, and your knowledge of things are about "cesspools". What a maniac soul.
As for Guyana, the country is doing well under the PPP. Jagdeo is doing something right for the country and the people. Yet you cannot bear this. You keep on attacking the PRESIDENT. I really do not see any reason for that. I will always say to you that he is the only leader that understand what to do.

Wow !!what a tantrum???The say once a man twice a child. Do you think that any nomal human will indulge in such detrimental behaviors. You are the master for this. Are you afraid of the President of Guyana, that you seek outside force to stigmatize him? Go face him. Once again I will reiterate, that President Jagdeo is very intelligent, dignified, industrious, a great Leader, and posess all the great qualities of a President. He is doing a magnificent job for the country. Even, Pres. Obama was impressed by with him. Remember, when Obama wisited the Caribbean, everyone of the other leaders selected him to make that incredible dpeech. This man is revered for his efforts and leadership qualities. He is well motivated person whoose desires are to make Guyana a better country and for the people. Azzhole, like you can say what you like, this President will not be affected. Sayonra.

US accused of 'occupying' Haiti as troops flood in

France accused the US of "occupying" Haiti on Monday (18 Jan.) as thousands of American troops flooded into the country to take charge of aid efforts and security.

The French minister in charge of humanitarian relief called on the UN to "clarify" the American role amid claims the military build up was hampering aid efforts.

Alain Joyandet admitted he had been involved in a scuffle with a US commander in the airport's control tower over the flight plan for a French evacuation flight.

"This is about helping Haiti, not about occupying Haiti," Mr Joyandet said.

Geneva-based charity Medecins Sans Frontieres backed his calls saying hundreds of lives were being put at risk as planes carrying vital medical supplies were being turned away by American air traffic controllers.

But US commanders insisted their forces' focus was on humanitarian work and last night agreed to prioritise aid arrivals to the airport over military flights, after the intervention of the UN.

The diplomatic row came amid heightened frustrations that hundreds of tons of aid was still not getting through. Charities reported violence was also worsening as desperate Haitians took matters into their own hands.

Did Hilary Clinton's presence not suggested that the US is occupying Haiti?

Ask the Haitian people and they will give the right answer, rather than swaggering to poitical self-aggrandizements, remarks cited against the USA troops. Too eaely to surmise that they are occupational hazard when their time is spent on assisting these people. They are not impeding any help, as propahanda rules the ugly head of some of these fanatics, who only use rhetorics to claim resposibility. Salute to the great lady, Hilarry Clinton. She is a champion and a powerful woman. Her statements are related to making things better for the nation.

Veronica, let me just ask one simple question, you babble as if USA is somehow not doing the right thing in Haiti (as if you understand or are even an expect in disaster relief ). Whats your thoughts on Chavez and how he is systematically reducing freedom and opposition to ash. How about Iran?? Whats your thoughts on Raul Castro's notation that USA was making a mockery of democracy in Hondurous. What are your thoughts on France's complete lack of intervention ( or Europe's for that matter ) when the massacre's were going on in Rwanda?? Do you point to useless facts on Haiti because you hate America?? Tell you what - I don't give a shit what you think. As a hardworking taxpaying American, I am proud of the way we took control of the situation and ARE TRYING to sort out the situation and get help the people of Haiti. Lets just remember how F'd up the whole Carribean and South America got screwed up in the first place. Spain came in and exploited the people and countries until they were bled dry and then left them to wallow in the mud!!!!!
