If Ukraine want tourists from eu, need to abolish visa and passport control.

Simply show of ID-card(as proove of citizenship) is enough.

People from the EU don't need visas to enter Ukraine, as for abandoning passport controls, that is just Pesky Army, or in other words stupid.

I think he meant to say that Europe needs easy access to Ukraine, which it already has, EU citizens don't need a visa to enter Ukraine, if only they could reciprocate that.

I thought that was what he meant but I wasn't sure how to correct him without antagonizing a new poster. Maybe we can recruit him for the Ugly Group club?

BTW-- when are you going to ad UGX to your name? All you have to do is ignore the Crapolasaurus when she comes on line and you automatically qualify for membership.

Still trying to recruit?!
How successful have you been so far? How many have you added to your gang since... 2 years ago? Longer?
Let's add them up...

Oh no! I came up with a big, fat ZERO! You have FAILED to recruit any new members in OVER 2 YEARS! OMG! What does that say about you?

On 19 February 1954, the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Soviet Union issued a decree on the transfer of the Crimean Oblast from the RSFSR to the Ukrainian SSR

The transfer can be interpreted as a mark to show that Ukrainians and Russians are still loyal and friendly each to other.

Following the death of Joseph Stalin, a power neiche [sp: niche] was formed for the future control of the government and political struggle between various factions ripped through the Soviet leadership. Nikita Khrushchev, previously head of the Ukrainian Communist Party, had significant support from Ukrainian communists which proved to be critical for his eventual victory. After Khrushchev became the head of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, he found important to repay them with Crimea.
