' recent major computer systems failure for approximately five hours on Friday night caused major delays and cancelled flights throughout its system.
With a merger of this size and scope, there's bound to be some glitches along the way. So far, it's been relatively smooth. I'm surprised they're doing a lot of little changes and then changing back after customer feedback. They should have asked people ahead of time.
The Zone boarding is a huge perk for frequent flyers as they get the chance to board earlier thereby assuring them of better overhead storage. Frequent travellers know how to walk down the aisle and sling their bags into the overhead without even breaking stride so they're not slowing down the boarding process at all.
It's the rookies that have row 38 and stop at every row starting with 10 to see if their row has come up yet and then they fumble around with their bags wondering how they can get an entire overhead bin all to themselves.
In this extremely competive industry, you really do need to cater to your most loyal customers and market your strengths.
