Frenchman Abdelkarim Serhani, 26, was given celebrity status for his antics pretending to be a member of the Saudi Arabian royal family.

He is wanted in Queensland for fraud after scamming $42,000 worth of free accommodation, meals, drinks, helicopter flights and security guards at Hamilton Island.

He is also accused of stealing $400 from a fellow Frenchman in Surabaya, Indonesia, along with $2000 and a mobile phone from the skipper of a yacht on which the "prince" fled Australia to Bali after skipping court.
