With the Philippine government encouraging street protests against China, it is understandable that, for safety reasons, China would stop its citizens from visiting the Philippines. Even without the current drama, few foreigners would characterize the Philippines as a very safe place to visit. Still, this is a shame as despite the crime, traffic, and pollution, the Philippines has a lot to offer tourists and is well worth a visit.

It's interesting to see that a country actually encourages its people to do things which will hurt themselves more.
Not only Chinese, but people from other countries would not visit a country like this unless it's absolutely necessary. Egypt has been a good example.

Our gov't is not encouraging us to protest against China...it's China who's pushing us to mount street protests. If there's no Chinese bullying there will be no protest against China and rise of sinophobia here in the Philippines.

Man, that's a good one.LoL Your "let's blame every one but ourselves" attitude speaks volumes about your people. LOL Btw, did the Chinese put guns to your heads to mount those protests? The rise of sinophobia is the result of your own us-puppet gov't propaganda. So according to your "logic", the bankers and government officials at the WTO meetings should be blamed for the resulting arrests of the protesters and rioters? what a buffoon lol

ALthough I dont think its right for the Philippine governement to encourage these protests, this is another example of China whining and crying whenever they dont get their way.

In Manila today, only 200 showed up for the protest. In Australia, NOBODY even bothered to show up. What a JOKE! Is that the best you can do?
