Look I reckon Tibet no doubt coping it from China, but the Western world pushing a free Tibet no end, why?
They are trying to weaken China by dividing it, also Tibet has natural resources that could be up for grabs with an independent Tibet. Free Tibet is a Globalist agenda, there are certainly many other similar cases of oppresion in the world that are going unnoticed. Sure I know Tibet is being persecuted.

"I reiterate calls for calm and restraint by all parties, and for the unrest to end quickly and without further casualties."

Restraint in legal terms means there are two equal but opposing sides that both side could exercise restraint upon. Unless the speaker is implying that Dalai is the organizer of the recent riots, there is no such thing as restraint against rioters in enforcing the law within a state.

I actually prove of this. Since Australian is one of the few more neutral countries towards China. I feel that it is a somewhat more of a neutral intermediate in this matter.

Also the tone of Australian is more of a friendly suggestion or advice instead of the European/American you do what we say attitude. Just more acceptable, in Chinese word, save face.

A good way for China to clear its name.

Thank you for the link to this fine article about Tibet. Unfortunately, the article is too long for most attention deficit disorder type in this world. Most people don't want to be confused by facts. It is much easier to go with one liner such as "Free Tibet" without having to understand what that jingle means or know where Tibet is on the map.

The fact is that Tibet is already free. Free from slavery. Free from poverty. And free from the feudal rules of Dalai Lama. Going back to feudalism as slaves under Dalai Lama is not free.

Most westerners like to "preserve" Tibet frozen in time at around 1900, so that curious western tourists can go there and take pictures with the natives. Then, proclaim to their friends, I've been there, done that.

Yes. Tibet was a fuedal system. A fuedal system is bad because it puts all the power into one man.

And yes. China is a communist government. China's government is bad because it places all the power into the hands of 9 politburo members. At least this is better than 1.

Under Mao, all the power was under 1 man. Look at what happened...

Follow the logic. Look at what happens as power is spread to more people and they are given more say in how their own futures are decided.

The Aussie convicts should quit pestering China as Kevin Dudd's daughter would not get any Chinese dick from tomorrow. The penal colony has enough problems than kiss AmeriKKKan arse and piss off 1.5 BILLION Chinese who basically feed the worthless lazy Aussie convicts by buying up all the natural resources stolen from Aboriginal lands.
Why don't you actually read the article and read the responses by the Chinese community on this forum. And perhaps do a little research on the the Rudd Governments stance regarding the Aborigines and China. And in fact about Australia penal colony history. Not up with the times are we Trailer Trash? I am a student of China. I like my country. China isn't as bad as what in the eyes of some people who don't kown about China. I think our country and our government are very great. We are developing very quickly. Most of the people are satisfied with that. But few of westers are afraid of it. So they try their best to destryit or prevent it.I can't understand why? Why don't they like to see a harmoney and peaceful China? Instea they want to see a mass China. Why????? Few of westers do really make us very angry. They are unfair. Why don't come to China themselves and have a look at the chances in China. And know more about China?

In the US our power is spread among hundreds of individuals.(House, Senate, President, Supreme Court)
Yet all we get back is blocked progress due to political infighting down party lines and pork barrel spending.
