<quoted text>Cruise ships bound for American Samoa have increased over the years and now Manua is set to become a new destinations for tourist to visit. You wouldnt know anything about travelers to american samoa because you left here in search for Elvis decades ago.
5 cruise ships a year hardly means a big tourist boom. 2-3 jets a week mostly filled with locals hardly means a tourist boom.
1-3 hotels/b&b not filled hardly means a tourist boom.
A 10 pax prop plane (when its working) over to Manua hardly means a tourist boom.
Go out to Tafuna and count on one hand the number of real tourists.

With or w/out you, samoa will succeed! I sense really bad vibes from u! Im sorry that u feel so negative about our/ my country but it will be there long after u and I are rotting in the ground! I left home in search of education over 40 years ago and oppertunities still allowes me to travel when i can to visit samoa. Its a place thats foreign to me only because was not raised there, but I do not deny the fact that " I AM SAMOAN "!!! It seems that oppertunities are the same for you in that you have ventured out in search of betterment for ur self? Corruption is a daily dime for every country whether big or small, you have your reasons for the animosity you portray! Hope you find inner peace to resolve the anger that rages with-in u towards Samoa......Ia alofa le atua e foai atu pea le ola ma le malosi aua feau ma galuega oloo faegai ai lau susuga! You're just a grumpy old man who chose to sell out his samoan identity years ago. You dont know a thing about the work done by our government and the tourism office. The addition of cruise ships, air flights and hotels added on our shores. Manu'a is getting new attention because of request from tourist to visit. Just today a ship is docked out at port for about a week and sight seeing and tour are going on every day. You read for yourself.

Golden Bear visit helps promote territory

05/19/2011

It’s a goal of the American Samoa Visitors Bureau to make Pago Pago a regular port of call for US Maritime Academy training ships, like the Golden Bear.

It's the first maritime training ship to call into American Samoa.

Michael Larson of the National Park Service said the ship;s visit willl help spread the word about the territory and what it has to offer the visitor.

A training ship full of students that have very little money to spend...hardly a big boost.
More flights down to PPG...hardly.
More hotels being built....why?
Manua getting tourists...ok..maybe 10 a month?

Actually, Pago Flyer doesn't think corruption is a daily thing in every country.
True, it probably is in Pago since the white man left.

the facts you provided was probably true back in the 60's when you polluted the islands. We really do not need your sympathy or pity or whatever concern for our island. We can manage our own affairs with no thanks to you. Many Samoans in the states leave our shores and hope for the best of where they came from. again...thanks but no thanks..and please why use our "capital" as your stage name.???

are you defending whites and blaming everyone else for corruption in this world?. corruption is an international issue...we dont know what happened on our shores when the white man arrived. you cant say for sure they did everything without any conflict of interest or for profit. remember Haliburton. e tofu lava le tagata ma ona vaivaiga. e na'o Iesu e sa'o ma amiotonu i lenei lalolagi. e o'o foi ia oe e iai foi ou pio

Actually, Pago doesn't think Samoa is that backward.
Backward is Afganistan and those types.
Have you seen how they live?
Samoa is way ahead of them.
