Post apartheid
I'm pretty sure it was a LOT cleaner and a lot safer then. Streets were clean and neat, buildings well looked after and cared for not covered with cardboard boxes better service in restaurants and all over in general. Public transport were a lot safer and clearer to, so your point is..........
