It doesn't matter how get got his ticket or how much he paid for it. He was entitled to an actual seat with a seatbelt. The flight attendant should have been made to sit on the jump seat, and that pilot should have to sit on the crapper for his next 6 hour flight.

Let's wait to hear if this even really happened. I highly doubt it. Jump seats for employees only but OK to sit in the head? I think Mutu is higher than his flight was.

Disgraceful. I hope he wins a fortune. Air travel has devolved into an ugly, expensive, uncomfortable means of travel. This toilet episode, however, really takes the cake!

I can't wait for them to start putting people in the cargo hold. Without meals, of course....

Slightly off topic but its only a matter of time before these airlines start charging to use the lavatory.$5 bucks a trip maybe. What am I talking about $5, make that $25.

Exactly. This story smells of misinformation. Hard to believe in the media, huh?

I'm generally against lawsuits, but in this case, it is definitely warranted - his safety and comfort were both ignored. But I have to agree with Yikes, I find this pretty hard to believe.

What if someone had to go #2? Did he have to come out of the bathroom, have the other passenger drop a duece, then go back into the bathroom and sit in the stench?

load up on dimes to offset the high price of gas. the next step is to establish pay toilets on the airplanes. you can't crawl under the door like in public restrooms -- what a shame.

If this really happened, I hope this guy wins the suit and the pilot gets fired. No matter how low-budget the airline, they must provide proper seats and safety restraints.

I don't believe this. Even so if he was on a buddy pass sorry but he has no rights as he is not a fare paying passenger. They simply just should have not let him board. If the flight attendant was going back to base or off duty etc. She should not have to sit in a jump seat anyway.

What is amazing is the number of people who actually believe this happened based on a one sided story. There were not any accounts of what happened from any of the other passengers. Don't you think that might be some important information to have?

Maybe not such a bad idea. It honks me off that people can't take an hour long flight without making trips to the restroom. Was on an hour long flight the other day. Twice the stewardesses had to roll the serving cart clear to the front of the plane because people had to jump up to pee and then force them to move to return to their seats. Barely got everyone served before the plane began its descent into the destination airport. Anyone remember our parents encouraging us to use the bathroom before we started on a road trip?

If true, the pilot should be disciplined/suspended and passenger compensated, but two million dollars? Give me a break. Wonder if passenger and Jet Blue tried to talk and resolve amicably before the suit? If not, they both have fallen short here.

The airlines might be on to something here. This is at least two more seats they can sell tickets for per flight. Just think of how many more people they can add to a plane if the replace all seating with toliets.
