Hi Linda, I don't think Singapore is a cheap travel destination as compared to the other Asian countries... The cost of living is quite high and the "touristy" activities and places do cost quite a lot. That said, hawker food and public transport can be quite cheap.:)

For a more detailed guide on Singapore, you guys can go to www.smartexpat.sg which is a great website on expat living in Singapore.

Another website I like is www.sojourns.com.sg/blog/ . The Sojourn Diaries is actually a travel blog with interesting articles and stories from around the world. It also has useful tips and guides for travellers.:) One of my favourite blogs!
