To the Editor: Your recent headlines stink. According to literally ALL your headlines today everything and everyone is in crisis, the sky is falling, and we are all dying a slow, gas deprived death or being shot while we walk our dogs.

Get real and start controlling your writers....put the positive stuff as headlines and give us a break. You could have started this article with the fact that because of the weak dollar that the US is expecting an increase in foreign travel. Instead it is the same old gloom and doom.

Same with the "housing crisis" article which gets regurgitated every other week. Why not do a BIT more research and give us some realistic news without all the sour puss negativity??

Life is too short to have to read this depressing drek.

I swore I would never buy the Scum Sentinel since they slammed me into collections for owing them 64 cents....now I think I am pulling the plug on the Favorites bookmark on my computer. Perez Hilton is much more fun, and actually has some factiods to savor :-)

Let all the layed off workers become firemen. The firemen are going to get a big raise this year, just like last year and the year before. Make big money, great benefits and huge pensions at a very young age.

The theme parks are overpriced to begin with. I think if they would start selling tickets for people who don't ride at about 1/2 the price of a regular ticket, and reduce the ticket for riders to a reasonable price, they would see an increase in business. Not all family members ride...there should be a different price.

I've been reading your anti-firemen rants for quite a while..is this your Freudian way of saying you have gender confusion? you know, with the hoses and all??..you also keep saying "great" and "huge"..don't know...

Although the ticket prices are overpriced, the parks are not hurting. Have you been to Disney lately? I was there the end of April and the lines were 60 min wait. Do you really think Disney cares if you ride the rides or not? Disney is making tons of money. Yes they should give back to the people but don't expect them to lower the rates. We are in a society now that the price of everything is going up.
