I am appalled at the use of this woman's illness to promote advertizing for this man's B & B. I am horrified that people who are suppose to be professional Mediums and Investigators, could do such a poor job of investigating and publicizing this story.
Paris Green was used to kill Roach's, ants and other insects. It was also used in Wallpaper and was latter discovered to cause many deaths due to inhalation. If Mrs. Purdy used Paris Green to treat insects and inhaled it she would have been effected. This may have been the original cause of her problem that lead up to the Murder/Suicide attempt.
In 'The Dead Files''Erie in Erieville' it is implicated that the children died, thus children Ghosts. The children did not die! The husband did not die! The only person who died was the wife/mother. This would indicate that she had been exposed to the poison for a longer time then anyone else, only proving the point that she had been breathing in the poison and was ill from it for quite a while before her acts.
For her Death to be used as a way of making fame for the Producer, the Medium and the Investigator is sad... especially since they did not present all the facts. Nor leave the watcher with a correct conclusion.
You do not have Child Ghosts when they have grown and died as adults, as a rule. And there may be graves but they were not of the children, as they did not die.

Hi,
I watched the same episode and didn't get the same (negative) impression you did. Yes, eventually the children DID die, perhaps as they were older, but in the afterlife show themselves as still small. Not sure why you are referring to a "rule" about how ghosts present themselves in the afterlife, I don't believe there is one.
I also thought this B&B owner might be angling for self promotion, but the real story is how he has opened himself up for possibly dangerous and harming contact with "the other side." In that light I think the show did an excellent job of recommending not to dabble. Also, how the negative actions of others in other centuries (even if she was mentally ill) can still affect people in the present time.
Please remember that these 1-hour shows are much edited from possibly days of taping. The Medium has made it clear she goes into homes only where asked, she provides clarity and information.

There is no such thing as ghosts. Do spiritual things happen...Yes, so if they are not ghosts what are they? Demons is the answer. The have studied the human race for centuries, deceiving many and when they manifest they can manifest with knowledge of relatives, and present themselves as children or adults,(what ever it takes to deceive). Hope all the ghost hunters out there someday will be more cautious and know what they are dealing with. You want to learn how to defeat demons...crack open your Bible and learn it...Jesus is the master at defeating demons.

If ghosts can appear as they choose then perhaps it is a symbolic thing that they appear as children. They were innocent of what their mother tried to do to them and they suffered apparently for years afterward. It could have been that the mother was mentally ill who devised this plan in the way portrayed. It is however one of those things that no one will know every fact of the act. Socialpaths can manipulate and perhaps she felt if she built a tolerance to it that she would survive while her family died. Thus if anyone investigated the deaths they might rule her out since her system would have an abundance of the chemical in her system. Or perhaps she wanted so much to die that she began treating herself with it before the big event. While I don't believe that there are only demons roaming. I understand that others do. There is no 100% proof of afterlife activities. You can have belief and for many that is all that they need. Others, such as myself, have had experiences that create a belief of a different path.
