I took an Armenian history class in college. The Turks had one of the greatest genocides and denials in history. In fact, all other countries recognize the armenian genocide except turkey. Its a common debate strategy to attack someone else for something you are weak at.

Take Islam and Muslim groups as another example of the holes found in China-smearing stories fabricated by the west. So western media are on an all-out assault these days to attack China saying China is trying to exterminate Islam (or the Muslims). (Since when they care so much about Muslims. Many people in the west are also biased and hate all Muslims as seen in the distorted reports about Muslims, and in dialogue of online forums like Topix. Muslims were treated as badly by western media all the time.)Western reporters claim that China tried to get rid of the Uighurs (Muslims), and bombed 2 Mosques in Xinjiang. Why they say that. They have malicious motives - to incite hate and conflict between China and the Muslim world, and then the extremists will go after China, not the west anymore. However it is a stupid lie from the west. First of all, the Islam mosques were built with government funds - 20,000+ plus such kind of temples. Secondly, Uighurs (about 8 to 9 million in total) are not the only Muslims in China. In the last 1,000 years, Muslims have lived in China and many were appointed to senior officialdom. In the Ming Dynasty, the Great Navigator, Cheng Ho is a Muslim from a Ma family in Yunan. Nowadays, we get about 60 million Muslims living in west China, Central China, and all over the country. The largest ethnic group is the Hui people. But you also can find Muslims among the Mongols, Hans and other smaller ethnic groups. That's why the rumours spread by the west are vicious but illogical. China has multiple religions and multiple ethnic groups/cultures for thousands of years. So it shows why Turkey's Prime Minister is wrong and stupid in making similar groundless accusations against China.

There's this conception perhaps unfounded but which enjoys much currency that western journalists seldom put the efforts in respect of the veracity of their reports. Time and resources crop up as constraints. Or a case of simple laziness. On the other hand trawling discussion boards like Topix for the average opinions of Chinese/pro China posters seems an affordable method and an acceptable alternative. A cross section representation or close to one. Annoymity emboldens candor and all that. Perhaps some of the journalists come away well and truly impressed by the most strident and unabashed viewpoints of the pro China brigade on Topix to the point of taking it as uncontested truth and being fit to print.

Turkey always wants to cover up the genocide of Armenians, and more recently of the Kurdish people.
The behaviors, following the Urumqi terrorist attack, of many Turkish people and oficials show how extreme they are. They are supporting Uighurs and Turkish terrorists. Turkey's connection with terrorist organizations such as Turkish Islamic Party and Al-Qaeda is obvious.
