It sounds like a boondoggle for some politicans and their friends. It will bring some jobs to the area and boost the price of proerty, which no doubt those in know already own.

However a lot of work will have to be done to get it ready for the level of security that will be required. this means construction and jobs plus lots of federal money pouring into the area. I do not believe this ia about justice or human rights. I believe it is about pumping federal money into a district that has an influential congressman in it. We have a good prison in Cuba and that is where they should stay and be tried there amd kept there.
It has been mentioned that a trial might implicate Bush/Cheney, if held in New York. The same evicence could be presented in Gitmo. Same result and when it comes to investigations being stiffled it looks like amybe the current president is trying to stop one.

The whole business needs to be investigated and if it implicates our politicians let it. I am no Bush/Cheney fan nor am I an Obama fan. In fact I think all our politicians are crooks at heart. We don`t need to move these giys to teh states and we don`r neeed to try them in New York to get justice. It can be done at gitmo ,cheaper and at less risk to the public.
