Al Gore won that crown previously. he is a democrat.

Barack Obama is the current winner, another democrat.

Bush and Cheney never won a Nobel Peace Prize, never won a war, etc.:)

Well, never let anyone tell you that great accomplishments require great effort. Not anymore it appears.

What are the criteria for winning this prize I wonder? More importantly, what great achievements qualified him?

This obviously leaves no doubt that the "prize" no longer recognizes an individual for a body of work that benefits mankind. It is now, unfortunately, a tool to encourage a political agenda.

How uninspiring and disappointing.

Man, no kidding.

I wonder if the teleprompter was there to accept the award.

I emailed the Nobel committee and asked them what the hell they were thinking. Seems they give these "peace" prizes out like candy anymore. I thought these things took some amount of effort to earn.

The world has gone mad.

He was nominated 12 days after his inauguration.

Silly and meaningless.

At least it's nice that he's so inexperienced and ineffective he can't shove his socialist agenda down our throats.

He's becoming an international joke.

All the bitter un-democratic Americans will show their true colors today. I think it's great that Obama won the Nobel Peace prize. This is something that people that don't care about peace won't understand. Giving hope to a world that seemed hopeless is more than enough to deserve this.

I am a proud American today.

OBAMA is doing a great job! He deserves it. Anyone who thinks differently, go run for presidency and proove otherwise. Or do your own campaign for world peace. All the wars of the world is not solving the evil that is inside mankind; it may slow it down but the bloodshed goes on. We must make peace with each other and the world, or at least try. We all do our best to live peacefully with our neighbors so we must try it with the rest of the world! Put all differences aside and strive for peace and prosperity!!!!!!!!!

I was striving for prosperity until they started taking it away to give it to someone else, by force, who didn't earn it.

Peace occurs when the good guys win. The smuslims are still trying to bomb us. Obama or Nobama.

So just what ARE we hoping for? More government control? More failed liberal good intention policies? More prosperity killing legislation in the name of global warming? Oh, sorry, now that the earth is cooling, we call it,'climate change.'

My HOPE is that he continues to be such an inexperienced novice that his initiatives continue to be denied, and that we shall CHANGE to a real leader instead of a socialist teleprompter reader soon.
